00:00 I'm Jules and I'm the lead guitarist and rhythm guitar player of Scottish Rock Band Gun.
00:07 We're at Assai Records and we've been selling a lot of records in this shop, you know,
00:13 and we're going to be doing a little showcase gig of four acoustic songs.
00:18 Hombres is a new album we released. It's an album that, you know, after we had a lot of Covid and
00:25 all the pandemic and stuff like that, and eventually when bands started playing gigs and
00:33 venues were starting to open, we thought like let's really get back into the studio and let's
00:38 make a new studio album. And I think we were just bursting the, you know, we really wanted it to
00:48 happen, you know, so yeah, we just took our time in the studio. I think we made a great record,
00:55 we've made a great record, you know, and here we're here, you know, sort of out promoting it now,
01:02 you know, so it's been good fun. We had songs with a lot of demo ideas just sitting around and
01:08 we've been working away and we eventually, you know, got songs that we really felt strong about,
01:17 you know, and really I don't really do much of the lyrics but Dante's got a lot of meaning behind
01:23 those lyrics. I do all mostly of the music and melody and stuff like that, but it's just, you
01:31 know, it's something that we had to get out, something that we, I think we were really bursting
01:36 the energy to try and get ourselves back out there again and, you know, as I said, everything that we
01:43 did in the studio was great, you know, we just felt it was a good vibe because everyone's back
01:48 in playing and everyone's, you know, everyone's, you know, working on the songs and creating a
01:54 really good atmosphere in the studio, you know, and so here we are, you know.
