For the 2025 model year, subtle refinements highlight more standard features across the lineup with a focus on the popular EX trim. Standard items for the EX include a Bose Premium Audio System with Active Sound Design, a 10-way powered driver’s seat includes two-way lumbar support. Digital Key 2.0 heated steering wheel, and power folding mirrors with integrated LED turn signals are also all standard on the EX.

More updates can be found inside. Front and center to the driver is a new available single-pane curved display that houses the 12-inch instrument screen and a new standard 12.3-inch touchscreen navigation unit. Complementing the new display is wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which is now standard across the K5 line. Kia’s new Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system processes faster and in higher fidelity, with frequently used Quick Controls available with a swipe on the screen. Over The Air (OTA) updates are now available, enhancing the ownership experience.

Spearheading the enhancements under the hood is a new 2.5-liter normally aspirated four-cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drive the front wheels. Found in LXS, EX and GT-Line, power for the new engine is increased by 11 horsepower over the previous 1.6-liter turbo. Torque comes in at a robust 181 lb.-ft. For those who live where the weather can be adverse, all-wheel drive is available on the GT-Line.

The GT’s powertrain for 2025 remains unchanged. Producing 290 horsepower and a stout 311 lb.-ft. of torque, the 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is mated to an 8-speed dual clutch transmission that drives the front wheels.

The 2025 Kia K5 is expected to arrive at Kia dealerships in the second quarter of 2024.

00:00 Good morning everybody. It's great to be with you here today. Now K5's
00:05 introduction a few years ago changed the game in the midsize sedan segment. Buyers
00:11 took notice and they clearly liked what they saw. A sportier, better equipped
00:16 choice than what the established incumbents were offering. Now since its
00:20 launch, K5 has gained market share growing from under 7% for the prior
00:27 generation model to well above 9% last year. The K5 was a hit from the day it
00:36 arrived in showrooms thanks to its available all-wheel drive option and an
00:41 available 2.5 turbo in the GT model. As a result, this sporty sedan has attracted
00:48 the youngest buyers in the midsize segment. K5's winning formula starts with
00:54 its design. The wide strong haunches, sleek coupe-like profile and a prominent
01:01 brow give it a bold, sporty and powerful presence. Now combine that with advanced
01:07 technology, efficient and responsive powertrains plus, key point here, great
01:12 value and it's easy to see why K5 is such a compelling choice for younger
01:18 buyers. For 2025, the K5 gets even better and we're thrilled to share it with you
01:27 here today.

01:51 Here is the new K5. It has more athletic styling, more performance, more
01:56 sophisticated interior, more connected technology and more advanced driver
02:02 assist systems. Let's start with the freshened look. The K5's front end
02:06 appearance is updated with a honeycomb grille pattern and vertical wings on the
02:11 outer edges of the bumper to give the car a wider look. The design team also
02:16 incorporated Kia's signature star map lighting pattern including the amber
02:22 daytime running lamps on all models. In fact, all of the exterior lighting is now
02:28 LED. There are sporty 18-inch and 19-inch wheels available and available power
02:35 folding mirrors. Around back, the new K5 has a spoiler integrated into the
02:41 decklid. Again, a new star map tail lamp design and available diffuser integrated
02:47 into the lower fascia. Now, while some others have eliminated their high output
02:54 engines, Kia is going all-in for the sporty sedan buyers. First, the GT sports
03:01 sedan variant, which we show here, continues with a 290 horsepower 2.5
03:07 turbo and class-leading 311 pound-feet of torque. The K5 GT offers its
03:16 own distinctive design cues including the new neon green brake calipers taking
03:22 a cue from our EV6 GT. We are also offering a larger, more powerful standard
03:29 engine generating 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, representing an 11
03:36 horsepower increase over last year. And of course, we will also offer an available
03:42 all-wheel drive system to ensure buyers can enjoy great driving experience in
03:47 various weather conditions. And the suspension system on all K5 models has
03:53 been fine-tuned to deliver even better ride feel and quality. Now, with digital
04:00 key 2.0, you don't even need to take your phone out of your pocket to unlock the
04:06 car. Inside, K5 has a wide, modern look with luxurious touches and upgraded
04:13 materials. Now, the most visible change is the newly available dual panoramic curb
04:19 display that integrates a digital cluster and also a 12.3 inch center
04:24 cluster infotainment screen. The new K5 can also receive over-the-air updates
04:30 for infotainment system features, including navigation maps. There's more
04:36 connected technology inside with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and
04:41 Android Auto. Three available USB charge ports, plus wireless charging pad built
04:48 into a redesigned center console. Finally, the K5 features Kia's latest and
04:55 advanced driver assist systems. On all models, this includes forward collision
05:00 avoidance assist, which is designed to detect vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists,
05:06 as well as front and rear parking distance warning. The K5 will also offer
05:12 available surround view monitor and blind view monitors to give drivers
05:17 confidence on the road or in the parking lot. We expect the new K5 to go on sale
05:23 later this spring. It's clear that the new K5 and the new Carnival demonstrate
05:30 Kia's commitment to move forward on all fronts in each automotive segment we
05:36 compete.
