Transcript
00:00 DJ Dels, uh, now I'm saying DJ Dels TV
00:06 Peace man, what's up y'all, this is Kaminer right now, you're checking out DJ Dels
00:10 Stay in tune with him, alright?
00:12 We started this album, like Kanye was on tour, I knew I wanted him to be the thread for the album
00:19 I knew I wanted him to just create the music and the bed
00:23 Like, when me and Ye worked together, he always, I challenged him, he challenged me
00:28 So I knew it was gonna be like that, good connection for us to hook up
00:32 So he was on tour, so I met him out in Spain, and we started just listening to records out there
00:38 Just digging into records, and then he had a show, his next show was in New Zealand
00:42 We went there and just started recording, he started hooking up the beats
00:46 Some of the beats that we made, um, like one of them, one of the beats he made, I act like I made the beat
00:52 One of the beats became, Heaven Only Knows, it was the John Legend joint
00:58 And another one became the Game Talk, the him and Ye rhyme joint
01:02 Like those are some beats that he just made while we was down there
01:05 But then we just started cooking up more and more
01:08 We went to Australia and made some more, then we came back to the crib
01:13 And we was like, man, we was real productive overseas for a minute
01:17 So we was like, let's go back out to the country and just keep working on music
01:21 So we went to Hawaii and shit, it was great
01:26 It was going like that, but
01:28 I'm going to be on the next one
01:34 So we went out there, man, and it was just productive, man
01:38 This album felt good to me to record, because I felt a little less pressure
01:43 A little less pressure because I was doing other things, like working on the acting
01:49 Trying to get my headline going, stuff like that
01:52 So I was like, man, I'll just be jumping in and writing raps when we got here
01:56 And I ended up finding out we had an album done
02:00 I was like, damn, we got enough songs
02:03 This time I listened more, me and Ye kind of worked together collaboratively
02:08 It was songs that I threw off, like the Game was a song I threw off the album
02:14 Ye was like, man, Rosh, you got to put that on there
02:17 But it ain't had no scratches yet, we ain't had no hook for it
02:20 I was like, we got to try to get Preem to do the cuts
02:23 And we finally got Preem
02:25 When Preem brought them cuts, I was like, when I heard that song, I got chills
02:29 Just hearing those cuts on that beat, it took me to that gang style shit
02:34 Just hip-hop, the way it felt good
02:37 I wasn't even thinking about no hook, this shit just felt good
02:41 So it was good to get that going
02:44 With that, we just kept the album moving
02:47 Like I said, we went through all the little countries
02:50 And came back and finished up certain stuff here
02:53 Like I said, I'm blessed, feel blessed to be presenting the album
02:58 So this is Drive Me Wild, I guess we got the sound going right
