Dog Waits By Door For 2 Weeks To Meet This Cat

Dog finds out there's a cat in the house and waits by the bedroom door for 2 weeks until he gets to meet him

00:03 The second he could smell that there was a cat in the house,

00:05 he was running up our stairs.

00:07 We had to quarantine him for two weeks,

00:13 and Robbie remained at that door with his nose

00:16 pressed against it.

00:17 He was just so sad that he couldn't meet this cat.

00:23 I opened the door a little bit, and Carl burst out of the room

00:29 and went right up to Robbie.

00:31 And Robbie proceeded to lick him head to toe

00:34 and continue to groom him for 10 minutes.

00:37 They loved each other immediately.

00:46 In the house, Carl loves to surf the counters

00:54 and steal anything he can get.

00:57 Robbie has learned from Carl, and he's right there

00:59 to see if he'll get any scraps.

01:00 Robbie is pretty socially awkward.

01:09 He's always sort of suffered with anxiety,

01:11 and he's been quite a nervous dog.

01:14 Robbie has a really hard time making dog friends.

01:18 So we decided to try fostering cats,

01:21 and that's how we ended up with Carl.

01:27 Robbie is always nervous when we leave the house.

01:29 However, when Carl comes, he's excited.

01:40 As soon as he sees the backpack, he knows what that means.

01:47 He's ready to put his harness on.

01:54 It's almost like he's excited to show off his little cat brother.

01:57 It's been nice to have his little emotional support brother

02:17 come with him now on adventures.

02:22 They're generally snuggled up with each other.

02:26 Robbie can go curl up on the couch with Carl

02:34 when he's feeling a bit uneasy.

02:37 They've had such scary pasts before they were rescued,

02:40 and it's just nice to see them so peaceful

02:42 and been able to heal together.
