00:03 Staying in the AL West, gotta be a little surprised at how Houston has started here.
00:08 Now I know they've played a very tough schedule at the beginning of the year.
00:12 They've played the Yankees, they just got finished with the Braves,
00:14 they've had two series with the Rangers.
00:16 They played the Royals when they were at their hottest point in Kansas City.
00:20 I'm sure it's gonna open up for them a little bit here, and
00:23 they are getting Verlander back this weekend.
00:25 But Scott, 6-14 and below Oakland almost a month into the season,
00:32 I didn't see that coming.
00:32 >> No, I agree with you.
00:35 I don't think many people did, Mike.
00:37 The injuries, I mean, not to excuse, everybody's been banged up.
00:43 But as you mentioned, Verlander's been, he didn't start season with the Astros.
00:48 He'll get his first start on Friday.
00:50 Frambois Valdez has been absent.
00:54 They've kind of taken some hits.
00:55 I like that you pointed out the schedule has been difficult, no doubt about that.
01:01 So they haven't gotten any breaks.
01:04 Erquidy has been out, Valdez has been out, Luis Garcia, Verlander.
01:10 So they've been just patching it together with pitching.
01:15 I do think as things shake out, clearly the Astros will get better.
01:21 I mean, they've still got Altuve and Bregman and Kyle Tucker.
01:24 And they've still got guys that other teams would want.
01:29 So they're gonna be better, but we're not used to this from Houston.
01:33 I mean, it's been a nice decade or more of dominance from Houston in that division.
01:38 And for them to start out this way and
01:42 just get beat up more nights than not, it's noticeable.
01:49 There's no doubt about it.
