00:11 Hello, my name is Hamish Cuthbertson. I'm a chef tutor that works for the Aurora Foxes Catering College here in Minehead.
00:17 As a learning college delivering inclusive hospitality, we strongly believe in the importance of engaging with the local community.
00:24 No point in me telling you, let me show you.

01:18 Today we've got six students. We're serving cottage pie. The vegetarian option is caramelised onion, feta quiche.
01:26 And then we've got lemon drizzle and cheesecake. Usually we get around 30 people on a Tuesday, so we're hoping it'll be busy.

02:16 Yeah, I'm on my own and I find it a point of contact during a week. I don't get any social contact in a week really, that is excellent.
02:27 And also I'm no cook, it means that I get a decent, different meal.

02:40 When I first come through the doors here, I'm met with beaming smiles because one of the young ladies has realised that I've been here before and she's beginning to get used to me.
02:52 What I have noticed, the young lady at the time who was on duty that day will come quietly to the table and she helps them to remember to order, to order food.
03:06 And it's done so quietly that I feel that the student is not embarrassed and it comes out, that comes out so beautifully itself.
03:18 The presentation, it's everything they're learning and I feel that in my eyes already they're young professionals.
03:29 And I understand that they're trained to work in big hotels and they could hold their own with anybody and it's an equal chance, equal to all people. It's an equal floor to all people.
03:49 Hello, I'm Peter Payne, Chairman of Willerton Parish Council and we're working with Foxes Academy to provide meals for the villagers of Willerton.
03:58 It initially started off as a project to help people on the road back and recovery from Covid and their isolation.
04:04 Just get people back out again and meeting people and learning how to get used to being back out in the big wide world.
04:10 Helping us to provide meals on a Tuesday initially and we've also managed to extend that to a cream tea on a Thursday afternoon.
04:19 Then this year, just as the winter, a warm hub comes to the club.
04:24 But working together we've created a great benefit for the villagers of Willerton and I believe a fantastic opportunity for the students at Foxes Academy to develop their skills and help them on their way to a fulfilling career.
