00:00 Wendy's is giving out free fries every Friday through the rest of the year.
00:04 Starting Friday, April 19th, customers can get a free order of french fries with every purchase
00:08 made through the app, and there is no size restriction. You can get any size of fry you want.
00:12 The fries are just the latest free food offering for the company. Earlier this month,
00:17 Select Wendy's locations in several states gave visitors a card offering one free breakfast
00:22 sandwich per week for a year. The company is also embracing new delivery methods,
00:26 launching a pilot drone delivery system in Christiansburg, Virginia, which is in partnership
00:31 with DoorDash and Wing Drone Deliveries. Earlier this year, Wendy's announced that it planned to
00:36 introduce dynamic pricing where it would lower the cost of some menu items in non-peak periods,
00:41 but the announcement created confusion and the fast food chain is trying to bounce back from
00:45 the misunderstanding. Many thought that Wendy's dynamic pricing strategy was going to mimic the
00:50 surge pricing model of Uber and Lyft, where prices raise during times of high demand, but Wendy's
00:56 said that was never its plan and it has put all dynamic pricing plans on hold for at least a year.
