00:00So there's been a lot of talk about existential threats from AI but we need

00:06to really understand that AI is a tool to serve people in the things that we

00:12need the most and I'm actually incredibly optimistic about the

00:17potential for AI to really help solve lots of humanity's challenges over the

00:21next decade or two. I'm Zubin Garamani, VP of Research at Google DeepMind and

00:26I'm here at Fortune Brainstorm AI London. So AI has a lot of risks and of course

00:35we need to work on mitigating a lot of those risks. As any technology that's in

00:41the hand of many many people there are certain things that we need to worry

00:46about that sometimes keeps me up at night. You know risks in terms of bias,

00:52misinformation and misuse in the wrong hands but on balance there is so much

00:59potential for AI that you know I think it's incredibly exciting journey that

01:05we're all on.
