Supermarket Sweep UK (S1, Ep 32 - Oct 19th 1993)

Today's trolley dashers are Susan & Jenny from Bristol, Jared & Steve from Tyne & Wear, and Helen & Val from Kent. Dale Winton looks as if he's been tangoed as he wears a orange suit and it looks set to be an ill omen as one member fails the Mini Sweep. But as it is it gets better as he learns that one team is ill suited to the game as they like to take their time shopping, while another see big wins regularly as they work in a casino. And the third team look like twins, but are sisters in law who hate the sound of jangling cash but are mad on Gold(ie Hawn). One member proves very quick on the buzzer in the Quiz rounds - maybe TOO quick for his own good - as two teams go neck and neck early on, but the third pull off a great run late on to get a lead going into the Super Sweep. And it may prove crucial as speed and inflatables both combine to make this one of the most intriguing and unpredictable episodes in the first series. But will there be a winner for whoever triumphs in the bid for the cash prize of £2,000? Watch on and find out...
