00:03 Looking at the American League West, and if you look at it currently,
00:06 you see it's flipped upside down.
00:07 You have Houston at the bottom, and the reason is because of their pitching.
00:11 So if they're gonna be so far underwater, what are they gonna do come June, July,
00:15 and then, dare I say, those dog days of August?
00:18 JP France, I mean, where's the answer?
00:20 >> Yeah, they are eight games under 500 right now, but it is only April, so
00:25 there's plenty of time.
00:26 Now, you can argue too, they haven't had Fran Bavaldes.
00:29 They just got Justin Verlander back, but JP France and
00:32 some other guys in this rotation, you had Spencer Arrighetti come up there with
00:35 mixed results.
00:37 France, two starts, nine innings, 12 hits, 10 earned runs over his last two starts,
00:41 not good.
00:42 He's not striking out a lot of guys, just sevens, walking five.
00:45 ERA sits at 10 over that span with a 189 ERA, excuse me, whip.
00:49 So it has not been good for JP France, but it's not been good for Hunter Brown.
00:54 It's not been good for a lot of these guys at the back end of this rotation here.
00:58 So you need Justin Verlander to be Justin Verlander.
01:02 At the end of the day, that's what we're looking at here.
01:05 Team ERA wise too, it's been a problem here for the Houston Astros.
01:09 Right now I'm trying to look, they are 29th in the league in team ERA at 503.
01:15 So you're talking about the starting rotation, you're talking about the bullpen.
01:18 You're not gonna be a playoff team with a five ERA collectively as a team.
01:21 This is not gonna happen.
01:22 It is only April.
01:23 If Fran Bavaldes comes back healthy,
01:26 if Justin Verlander continues to be Justin Verlander and can make 26,
01:30 27 starts this year, this might be a really intriguing time to buy on
01:35 the Houston Astros collectively, not just in fantasy, but in the wagering market as
01:38 well, because there is time here for them to right the ship.
01:43 And there's time for some of the other teams ahead of them to fail, let's be honest.
01:46 But I still like the Mariners regardless in this division.
01:49 I think long term that pitching is far more competitive.
01:52 Logan Gilbert's been great.
01:53 Bryce Miller's been great.
01:54 Now all of a sudden, you're going to get George Kirby back on track.
01:59 You've got Castillo back on track.
02:02 Now we're really cooking with something here.
02:03 Now we've got four really reliable starting pitchers there.
02:06 At any day are gonna be tough to beat.
02:09 We know that they've got some power in this lineup too.
02:11 Cal Raleigh starting to hit better.
02:13 Klosse just came up to help out Julio Rodriguez.
02:16 They are still one bat away.
02:18 But I still believe in the Mariners regardless of the slow start.
02:21 And if anything, it's time to either double down or buy in for
02:23 the first time because the numbers have moved because of the slow start.
02:26 And you're gonna buy those MVP numbers.
02:28 You're gonna buy those Zion numbers.
02:30 You're gonna buy those shares or futures for the Seattle Mariners.
