00:00Ozzy, how do you feel about the Black Sabbath bench in Birmingham?
00:06Well, I mean, it's an achievement, again, I mean, Black Sabbath,
00:10we all come from Birmingham, Aston precisely.
00:15But I don't know if I can thank you enough, you know.
00:20Did you ever think at any time that in your hometown there would be
00:26a bench with huge, huge pictures of Black Sabbath on it?
00:31Never, never. I mean, it's fantastic.
00:33And it's become a tourist attraction because people go and sit
00:37and have their picture taken to whichever member of Black Sabbath they want.
00:42That's really cool. It's really cool.
00:44So your early experiences in Birmingham?
00:48Well, my earliest, I didn't go to Birmingham city centre much as a kid.
00:53It was like a special occasion.
00:57I remember being in Aston more than... Birmingham centre, yeah.
01:04I remember when there was football matches on the villa,
01:08we used to mine cars and get like a tip at the end of it.
01:12I remember my father coming out of the pub singing on the bus.
01:18The thing about Aston, a lot of things have changed about it,
01:22but my house in Ludge Road is still there.
01:26I used to go up there all the time when I had a chance to go.
01:31I showed you that, didn't I?
01:32Yeah, we've been to the house. The kids have been to the house.
01:36I have a lot of fond memories and a lot of sad memories as well.
01:43People like my friend Patrick Murphy...
01:48And no longer with you.
01:51He's a dear friend of mine, Patrick.
01:53And the bench, when are you going to go and see it?
01:56When I go and see the ball.
01:57We're going to go and make a day of it, right?
01:59Absolutely. A couple of days.
02:01Yeah, we should.
02:02There's some nice boutique hotels here.
02:06Yeah, there are. There's some great hotels in Birmingham.
02:09One of the things I like about Birmingham is the beer.
02:11The what?
02:12The beer.
02:13Oh, the beer. You aren't having any beer, Ozzy.
02:15I know.
02:16No beer at all, so water for you.
02:19Oh, yeah.
02:20Lots of cold water.
02:22No beer from Birmingham.
02:25So when do you think you're going to be there?
02:28When you go. I told you, if I have to crawl on the plane when you go,
02:32I'm coming with you.
02:34We'll be back in Birmingham.
02:36I'll be coming up very soon.
02:40And we want to thank Mike Oley for making it happen.
02:44Thank you, Mike. Thank you so much.
02:47What can I say? What can I do?
02:49Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
