00:00I'm here in Loo today to meet up with Simon from Three Seas so he's going to give me an
00:04exclusive sneak peek into the Loo Coastguard Flats.
00:07Hi Scarlett, please come in. Welcome to the Coastguard Flats. This is the two bed flat,
00:14this is the biggest of the group. Good size kitchen, nothing wrong with that. Antique
00:21150 years old, something like that, a lot of it never been done up, never been changed.
00:26Energy efficiency, massive insulation, a forced ventilation thing called NVHR which takes
00:32away the damp, it's a permanent system. New windows, new doors, get it down to low cost
00:38heating. It's mostly low income tenants from this town working on terrible money like always,
00:46they need a place to live they can genuinely afford.
00:50So this Three Seas project for the Coastguard Cottages is important to me as it was to Edwina
00:58when it was started. Simon and his team have done a great job working up this project and
01:07they're going to have my support as much time as they need to see it to fulfilment because
01:15like a lot of the coastal villages that I represent, Loo is under threat from losing
01:24housing for local people.
