00:00 So I'm going to be running a stem cell donor drive on behalf of DKMS, which is the leading
00:09 charity in the UK for registering stem cell donors.
00:14 So this event is in memory of my son Ozzy.
00:18 He sadly passed away in September 2020.
00:21 He received his stem cell donors from an anonymous donor back in March 2019 and he went on to
00:33 live another 18 months.
00:36 That time we had with him, he made memories and it was great that he had extra time.
00:42 Unfortunately the stem cells, he relapsed and then the stem cells, he was going to go
00:48 for another one, but with COVID times, he took pneumonia and sadly died in September.
00:55 So this is in his memory and in May it would have been his 21st birthday.
01:01 So I'd like to get as many people involved, get as many donors, because at any one time
01:06 in the UK there's 2000 people waiting for a stem cell donor suffering with a blood cancer
01:12 disorder.
01:14 So there's a mummy in Oman not so far away, she's currently looking for a donor.
01:20 There's a wee girl just four or five years old over in England looking for a wee donor.
01:26 There's a baby a few months old.
01:29 So it's not just for older people, it's from babies right up to the elderly looking for
01:36 a stem cell donor.
01:37 I'm not.
