00:00The Black Dog pub in Vauxhall lived a normal life up until Taylor Swift's new album dropped
00:08last week. A track on her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, named The Black
00:13Dog, a song which references a pub, has sent London Taylor Swift fans crazy. And The Black
00:19Dog itself has not shaken off rumours it's the location that features in Taylor's song,
00:25in fact it has been fully claimed and embraced by the South London spot.
00:30So we've headed down to The Black Dog in Vauxhall to see what all the fuss is about,
00:35and yes they've definitely taken the song to heart and have even written lyrics on the
00:40side of the pub, now a future landmark for tourists.
00:45After speaking to bar staff, a hundred Swifties have already claimed free The Black Dog glasses
00:51that the pub was giving away to fans who approached the bar singing lyrics, although
00:56apparently a few more glasses that weren't for sale have gone missing too.
01:03While visitors can dine in the pub, The Black Dog itself is definitely dining out on the
01:07song. Glasses are for sale and the pub was full of Taylor Swift fans as well as local
01:13workers who had no clue what was going on, so much so that we actually had to grab a
01:18seat outside.
01:21The Black Dog is located opposite Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, a historic place in the
01:26capital that has ties to London's dark, erotic history. The pub itself also sells
01:32its own lager, which to be fair was very good. Now huge Taylor Swift fans who are looking
01:37for work can even get a job at The Black Dog as the pub is hiring, imagine that.
