00:00So let's get right into it, the New York Knicks 104-101, now a 2-0 series lead over the Philadelphia
00:1076ers.
00:11The Sixers again had a very good first quarter, didn't play all that well for its quarters
00:15number two and three, came back in the fourth quarter, had a five-point lead with one free
00:19throw to go for Kyle Lowry with under a minute to go, and they lose this basketball game.
00:24You take a look at Joel Embiid, 34 points in this game, 39 minutes played, 10 rebounds,
00:29six assists, Tyrese Maxey under the weather, 35 points, not good enough.
00:34Boy, this is a team concept win for the New York Knicks.
00:37They just keep battling, Coach.
00:39Yeah, they just keep battling, and if you think about it, Donnie, you know, Joel Embiid
00:44was absolutely fantastic, but Joel Embiid was also on guard last night.
00:48When I talked about yesterday's, I needed him to be a big, he needed to be inside.
00:53You can still see the explosiveness isn't there, he's struggling to get up and down
00:56the court, and the fact that he had 10 rebounds, Coach, that was outstanding.
01:01He also had none in the second half, so to me, you know, they got beat up by the fact
01:06of, let's be honest, nothing has not been good.
01:10The two best players on the floor are Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, by a wide margin.
01:17The problem is, players 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 are all coming from New York, so to me, the Knicks
01:26are beating you with the sum of their parts, and they're beating you in regards to just
01:31being mentally tougher than you.
01:35That game was about toughness.
01:37It wasn't about prettiness, and I just thought, Philadelphia, you can't, Don, you can't cough
01:44up that lead, OK?
01:45And you made up a good point that no one's talking about.
01:49Kyle Lowry did miss that second free throw that could have made it 102-96.
01:53So now you go down, there's a loose ball on the floor.
01:56You don't get it.
01:57Jalen Brunson hits a three.
01:58Then you turn around, the ball gets inbounded.
02:01Now, yes, could there have been a foul call?
02:04Absolutely.
02:05You could have called the foul on Tyrese Maxey and pushed it off.
02:08But then you get to, really quickly, the fact that Nick Nurse won, then he burned his time
02:12out to advance the ball to the frontcourt.
02:14You never take the ball out of bounds in a desperation shot like that when you know you
02:17can advance it to midcourt, and so if a steal happens, you can at least get your defense
02:21set.
02:22Maxey has the ball on his left side.
02:23Why is he putting it on his right side, when it's away from Josh Hartnett to get picked
02:27off?
02:28And then lastly, Isaiah Hartnett's shot comes flying from the top of the key for an offensive
02:31rebound.
02:32No one boxes him out.
02:34They give up the three.
02:35A comedy of errors by Philadelphia in the last 30 seconds.
