Duke tackle Devery Hamilton transferred from Stanford in the offseason and is happy to be back at tackle with a line that has a good mix of old and young.

00:00So I've been working at tackle both sides with the ones and the twos.
00:05Coach Frye said, we don't have a depth chart yet.
00:07We're just going out, competing every day, playing football.

00:15But it's been great in the past to play every single position except center,

00:22But like you said, my skill set is definitely tailored towards playing tackle.
00:26So I'm excited to get back to that.

00:30We got old guys returning with experience.
00:35And we got young guys coming along as well.
00:38Like I said, Coach Frye doesn't have a depth chart yet.
00:40So there could be a combination of five guys
00:45out there that nobody's seen before yet on the first day.
00:49But I think we're all coming together well.
00:51Old guys helping teach the young guys playbook, technique, fundamentals,
00:56and things like that.
00:58As much as we can off the field, still trying to build that chemistry.
01:06I know it was a little difficult for me at first coming in being the new guy.
01:11But since campus started and we've been spending more time together,
01:16the chemistry is definitely growing.
01:17And I'm excited to see what we do this year.
01:20I think the running backs have been doing a great job.
01:25Scheme's a little bit different this year.
01:27Everybody's got to get adjusted to some of the new play calling and things
01:30like that.
01:33But yeah, I think all the running backs have been seeing the holes well,
01:36seeing our blocks well as offensive linemen.
01:40And yeah, that's honestly what I'm excited about, the run game,
01:44seeing how us, the tight ends, and the running backs work together.
01:49Because the running game is where it all starts.
01:52I'm looking forward to the running game that we've got coming this year.
