00:00talking about public information with any COVID-19 testing results.
00:06Can you imagine, you remember a few years ago when we had all the hoopla with the coaches,
00:11when we were doing the Thursday release of injuries?
00:17Can you imagine how upset some of those guys that didn't like it would be?
00:23You're playing a game and you've got an injury list and then you have a COVID list you have to
00:28release. It could get unique in a hurry. Scouting reports will take on a new meaning
00:36in the coaching profession, but let me give you first just a little bit about what we're doing
00:42Sunday. There's a protocol to everything we're going to do. Actually, the players,
00:48if someone brings them, like our newcomers would be generally going to have parents with them,
00:54when they go over to the stadium where we're doing testing, we won't be around,
00:59nothing but medical people. Their parents will not get out of a car. The player only goes down
01:06and they do the symptom monitoring and then they do the test. The player goes back,
01:11goes to their dorm room, goes back there. Their parents help them put things in and then say
01:20goodbye. They are quarantined. It'll be the most unusual startup for our new incomers that you've
01:29ever seen. We won't see them. We're going to have a Sunday night team meeting via Zoom and we won't
01:36see them until we know the results of the test, whenever that occurs. And then because our guys
01:43haven't been here, the next protocol will be our medical community doing physicals and assessments.
01:50So you're going to be seeing people quarantined. We're going to evaluate the conditioning level
01:58of players. You don't just go out there and start cold, not really understanding where we are. We're
02:06going to do as much warm weather work as we can. I've talked and met with Coach Durfee and his staff
02:12at length. People don't think about that. Everybody's focused on the positive or negative
02:18test, but none of us have been outside as much as we normally would be, particularly players.
02:24So we're going to do a heat acclimatization along with assessment of soft tissue, muscles,
02:32where we are. We've got a month to do that before we start camp and we're going to utilize our time
02:39well.
