00:00 I'm Caroline Woods reporting from the New York Stock Exchange. Here's what we're watching on
00:03 the street today. Earnings remain front and center as Wall Street continues to digest high-profile
00:10 earnings from Boeing, Chipotle, Ford, Tesla and Meta. Tech and AI will continue to be in focus
00:16 as Google parent company Alphabet prepares to report its quarterly results on Thursday.
00:21 In other news, new federal rules aim to make it easier to get a refund when your flight is
00:26 canceled. The Department of Transportation said travelers are automatically entitled to a cash
00:31 refund when a flight is canceled for any reason. That means no more vouchers or travel credits
00:36 without headaches or haggling. The rule also applies when a flight is delayed significantly,
00:42 three hours for domestic flights or six hours for international flights. Customers will also
00:47 receive refunds for mishandled bags and when services are paid for but not provided. And yes,
00:52 that includes Wi-Fi. In addition, airlines must provide upfront information about baggage and
00:58 flight change fees. The White House received a surge of complaints concerning refunds beginning
01:04 in 2020 when COVID brought air travel to a standstill. Passenger rights have been a major
01:09 focus of the Biden administration as it continues to urge major airlines for broader transparency.
01:15 That'll do it for your daily briefing from the New York Stock Exchange. I'm Caroline Woods
01:20 with The Street.
