00:00It's all part of a plan
00:05to reassert America's climate leadership.
00:07We rejoined the Paris Agreement
00:09and sparked a domestic clean energy manufacturing boom,
00:12providing incentives for 80,000 farmers
00:16to implement climate-smart agricultural practice,
00:19to plant what absorbs carbon from the air
00:21and get them paid for doing it.
00:24We've quadrupled the number of electric vehicles sold,
00:27and 11,000 dealerships have now signed up to sell more.
00:31We're modernizing infrastructure
00:33with better roads and highways, energy grids,
00:36and more so they can withstand and recover from extreme weather.
00:40Already underway,
00:42we're replacing every single lead pipe in America
00:44so everyone can turn on a faucet at home or at school
00:47and drink clean water that doesn't contain lead.
00:49We're also reducing flood risk for communities,
00:56improving drought resilience,
00:58and conserving 41 million acres
01:01of most precious and sacred lands and water.
01:04I committed that I'm going to try to reserve,
01:06take all non-developed land and waters.
01:09We're going to take 30% of it by 2030
01:12and make sure it is conserved, period.
01:14We're well on our way.
01:16We've already attracted nearly $700 billion
01:23in private sector investments
01:25in advanced manufacturing and clean energy,
01:27creating tens of thousands of jobs here in America.
01:32And all across the board,
01:33we're lifting up communities and workers
01:35too often left out in urban, rural, suburban,
01:38tribal communities all across the country.
01:41But folks, despite the overwhelming devastation
01:45in red and blue states,
01:46there's still those who deny climate is in crisis.
01:50My MAGA Republican friends
01:53don't seem to think it's in crisis.
01:55They don't want to — they actually want to repeal
01:58the Inflation Reduction Act, which provides the funding
02:00for a vast majority of these projects.
02:02And roll back clean air —
02:05protections for clean air and clean water.
02:08And I'm not going to go into it now,
02:09but I'm not making it up.
02:11It's real. Just listen to what they say.
02:14Anyone in or out of government
02:15who willfully denies the impacts of climate change
02:18is condemning the American people
02:20to a very dangerous future and the world, I might add.
02:23They want to take us backwards, sideline our workers,
02:27let China and others lead the race for clean energy.
02:30I'm determined — absolutely determined —
02:33that we move forward. We move forward.
02:35Thank you.
