00:10Now, Emma, you know,
00:11you would think the hot dog industry would be struggling,
00:13not being able to charge $8 a hot dog
00:15or whatever it is right now,
00:17but how is it going down with no baseball?
00:20It's actually interesting that the hot dog industry
00:22as a whole right now is pretty flat.
00:24Obviously, you know, there's no baseball,
00:27there's nowhere else you can really go out
00:29and get a hot dog served to you,
00:30but tons of people are buying hot dogs at home right now.
00:34They're like retail hot dog sales
00:36have more than doubled in the last month
00:38over a normal month.
00:39And so because of that, like as a whole,
00:42the industry has managed to stay pretty flat.
00:44We're eating just as many hot dogs.
00:45We're just eating them at home.
00:47That's interesting.
00:48Now, I know you talk to people in the hot dog industry
00:51and you ask them one of the great queries of our time,
00:55is a hot dog a sandwich?
00:57According to the president
00:59of the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council,
01:02it is not.
01:02We have the official verdict.
01:04And according to them,
01:05it is not a sandwich because a hot dog is always a hot dog,
01:08no matter if you have a bun around it or not.
01:11Correct.
01:12That is, you know, that is the correct answer.
