00:00Lamar Jackson's Madden cover has been revealed, and while most consider Patrick Mahomes to

00:06be the best quarterback in the NFL, Lamar is special as well, and is he actually a better

00:11video game character?

00:13For more, I'm joined by our Ben Pickman and the fantasy exec, Corey Parson.

00:17Corey, let's start with you.

00:18Which guy are you choosing to play in Madden?

00:20Well, I'm going to take Patrick Mahomes because of his ability to throw the football.

00:24Now, listen, we've seen Michael Vick years in the past.

00:27When you used to play with Michael Vick, you just ran all over the field, Bo Jackson.

00:30And definitely running is a special power that Lamar Jackson has.

00:33But when you look at what Patrick Mahomes can do, throwing the football deep down the

00:37field, making plays on the run, whether it be underhanded or jumping out of bounds, all

00:42the exciting things he can do with his arm, you know what, I'll take Patrick Mahomes.

00:47You know, there's two things I like to do in those kind of games, Ben.

00:51It's roll out and throw deep, as Corey mentioned, which Mahomes can do.

00:55But then it's also take off, which Jackson can do.

00:58Right.

00:59And I think that's why I would lean to Lamar Jackson.

01:01But let's be clear on this one.

01:02Lamar can also throw the football, right?

01:04He did throw for more than 3,100 yards last year in his MVP season.

01:07So you don't want to discount his arm strength or passing ability or the core of the Baltimore

01:11Ravens.

01:12But yes, I think the appeal of Lamar is, as you mentioned, Robin, the ability to scramble

01:16and take off.

01:17He had more than 1,200 rushing yards last year.

01:19And I think the scramble ability, being like Michael Vick in the past and other mobile

01:23quarterbacks, just add another element to a Madden game that you wouldn't otherwise

01:27have on most other teams.

01:28And so that's why I think you have to go with number eight on the Ravens.

01:32It's interesting because he can do both those things I mentioned, right?

01:34Roll out and throw deep.

01:35And you have to be very good to take advantage of some of Mahomes' skills with those precise

01:39passes.

01:40But I'd imagine he's filling up all the Madden ratings.
