00:05to talk some Dynasty fantasy football rankings. Joining me to help do that is SI's fantasy
00:11and gambling analyst, Sean Chiles, and Lions insider, John McAroon. John, let me ask you
00:17about DeAndre Swift. A couple of seasons ago, the Lions drafted Karrion Johnson. Injuries
00:22have really taken a toll on his early part of his career. Do you think Swift has an opportunity
00:27to come in and be a lead back from day one? Well, in speaking with Bob Quinn after the
00:33draft, he reiterated that he wants to continue a running back by committee approach. Look,
00:39Karrion Johnson is the number one, probably heading into the start of the season, but
00:43DeAndre Swift is in the mix. When the Detroit Lions invest in a number two overall draft
00:49pick in the second round, pick number 35 overall, you're going to definitely see DeAndre Swift
00:55be incorporated in Daryl Bevel's offense, especially early on in the passing game. Swift
01:00has the ability to elude tacklers. He is somebody that I believe is going to come into the league
01:06highly motivated because many believe that he was projected to be a first round pick,
01:11but he slipped into the second round number 35 overall. So he has a lot to prove. I would
01:16invest in selecting DeAndre Swift. If you're, you know, playing fantasy football, I don't
01:22believe year one that he'll be the lead back, but there'll be an opportunity because of
01:27Karrion Johnson's injury history, but look for DeAndre Swift to be incorporated early
01:32his rookie season with the Detroit Lions.
01:34Sean, when you look at some of the rest of the rookie running backs, how would you rank
01:39them for dynasty purposes?
01:43You got to go with the chiefs offense with Clyde Edwards Hilaire. He's just, he was a
01:46guy that kind of snuck up in the drafts, but he's going to catch a lot of passes. Great
01:50opportunity to score a lot of runs. He's going to, he's going to have touches on the
01:53early downs, probably going to come have growth as the season goes on, but he's in the right
01:58place. I like, I like him the best out of the three running backs. Jonathan Taylor is
02:02a guy that's really talented upside back, power runner, tons of speed. Doesn't have
02:07a lot of catches. He's probably going to improve. I like their offensive line a lot, but he's
02:11going to, you know, he's going to split time a little bit out of the gate with Mac, but
02:14in a dynasty Taylor should emerge as, as in over the next couple of years as more of an
02:18early down back and maybe he even develops some pass catching, but Hilaire is the guy
02:22I'm going to lean on as the top guy here.
