00:00The Los Angeles Chargers grabbed Ohio State's most productive receiver in terms of receptions
00:06by grabbing K.J. Hill with the 220th overall selection.
00:11Let's bring on Frank Tadeo and Jamie Eisner, our fantasy and gambling insiders here at
00:15Sports Illustrated.
00:16Jamie, I'll go to you first.
00:18What did you see while watching Hill as a Buckeye?
00:21Yeah, the Buckeye's all-time leader in receptions falls to round seven here.
00:25Look, he's not extremely dynamic, he's not very explosive, he's not a speed demon like
00:29we've seen a lot of coming off the board on day three, but he's very reliable.
00:35He's a really solid route runner, can catch the ball pretty well, looks to project to
00:38be a slot receiver in the NFL, and outside of King Down and Mike Williams, there really
00:44isn't an established number three wide receiver for the Chargers right now.
00:47He could fit into that slot role and maybe he can even make some sort of immediate impact
00:52on the NFL side, probably not much on the fantasy side right away, but I love this seventh
00:56round pick.
00:58Frank, the Chargers drafted Justin Herbert with the sixth overall selection, then they
01:02went offense again with Joshua Kelly, again in the fifth round with wide receiver Joe
01:07Reid out of Virginia, and now they add Hill.
01:10What do you make of what Los Angeles is doing to add some more weapons to their offense?
01:14Yeah, I absolutely love this pick.
01:18Just touching on what Jamie just mentioned as well, I mean, I'm 100% agreement.
01:22I mean, this kid is an absolute great player.
01:25He performed in big games.
01:27I mean, to get him in the seventh round is absolutely phenomenal.
01:30Now, I am down on Tyree Taylor, but looking towards the future in dynasty leagues, I think
01:36this is an absolute homerun pick.
01:39Justin Herbert and him, if they can make a connection, obviously with Keenan Allen and
01:42already Hunter Henry there, I mean, he's going to have some weapons to work with.
01:47Hopefully sooner rather than later, it's Herbert who takes over the starting nod on the center,
01:52but for me, KJ Hill is a great player and he was definitely someone that I would look
01:55to target to try to grab in dynasty leagues.
01:58In redraft leagues, I'm not so sure how much he really fits in unless it's Herbert on the
02:02center.
02:03If it is Herbert and not Tyree Taylor, then he's somebody that I would target in the later
02:07rounds of redrafts this year because I think he can offer value playing in the slot with
02:12Herbert on the center as opposed to Taylor.
02:15We'll be talking to Justin Herbert here on Sports Illustrated a little bit later this
02:20week.
02:21Stay tuned for that interview.
02:22Thanks for watching.
02:23Thanks for your analysis.
