00:00The Rocky Mountain Vibes isn't just a baseball team here in the Colorado Springs, it's family.
00:10It was such a special feeling going into the stadium for every game to watch, cheer for
00:15all the players.
00:19We got nervous, anxious and excited for the team, but what melted our hearts were those
00:24two Vibes players looking up in the stands to see if we were there, getting those awesome
00:29head nods, smiles and waves hello.
00:33You see, we were a host family for players that are now forever part of our family.
00:38Joe Gray, an outfielder from Mississippi, and Edwin Sineau from the Dominican Republic.
00:45It was so much fun to experience their ups and downs and see what the life of a minor
00:48league baseball player is like.
00:50One of our most favorite memories was Edwin in the kitchen cooking his favorite Davidican
00:54meal for us.
00:57He even got his mom on the phone to give those tips only a mother knows.
01:03Sometimes we forget they are so young.
01:09We wanted to make sure they knew this was their home away from home.
01:15Saying goodbye is always so bittersweet.
01:17We dropped off Edwin at the airport early in the morning.
01:21And Joe, well it was too much for him to say goodbye in person.
01:26By the time we got home, he was gone.
01:29The loss of Rocky Mountain Vibes would be devastating to this community.
01:35This is more than just baseball, it's family.
