Are the Philadelphia 76ers going to abort the current process and restart?
Transcript
00:00The Sixers have been banged up this season, but the hiatus amidst the coronavirus pandemic
00:05might be just what this team needed to reset.
00:08Ben Simmons' back, Joel Embiid's shoulder, Tobias Harris and Al Horford's knees have
00:13all had some much-needed time to recover.
00:16Joining me now is SINBA writer Rohan Nedkarni.
00:19Rohan, this talented Sixers lineup has had its struggles this season.
00:23How much patience does the front office have with this group before looking to break up
00:27the band and start fresh?
00:29That's the million-dollar question, I think, Matty.
00:32How much patience are they willing to have?
00:34I mean, historically, Elton Brand, and I say historically as if it's been a long time,
00:38it's only been a few seasons, Elton Brand has been willing to wheel and deal quite often
00:42with this team.
00:43We saw, starting with the Tobias Harris trade, multiple Jimmy Butler trades, and now the
00:48Al Horford signing.
00:49He's been quick to kind of blow things up here.
00:52And I think the question for the Sixers moving forward is, do you use the pandemic to give
00:56this group another chance, or do you use the pandemic to be like, I think we're going
01:00to cut our losses and kind of trade some pieces here?
01:04And you know what?
01:05When healthy, this is one of the most impressive lineups in the NBA.
01:08We'll see if the Sixers stay with it.
01:10Rohan Nedkarni, thank you so much for the time.
