Transcript
00:00Thanks everyone for coming, which was under different circumstances.
00:05I'll make myself available post-trade deadline to talk about the team,
00:09vision, strategy, things like that.
00:12But today I want to make a statement about the tragic loss of Kobe yesterday.
00:19It was daughter Gigi and everyone who lost their lives in the plane.
00:23I mean on the helicopter, excuse me.
00:26My condolences to Vanessa, his family, all the families that lost a loved one in that tragic accident yesterday.
00:35He meant a lot. Kobe meant a lot to us all.
00:39It wasn't just what he accomplished, but how he accomplished it.
00:43His hard work, his tenacity, his passion.
00:46Get the most out of his talent.
00:49He's still got a few weeks.
00:51We all lost someone that was special to us, special to this area, special to the league.
00:57We'll try to commemorate him tomorrow and hopefully show how much this area loved him and continue to do so.
01:08It's a tough time for the area, tough time for the organization, and he will certainly be missed.
01:15With that, I'd like to thank everyone for coming today.
01:18It's a tough time for us and for the Lakers organization.
01:23I felt bad when we didn't get to meet today also.
01:26Thank you.
