00:00 >> It's hard as I have in a while, the death of Kobe.
00:06 It wasn't because we were close, close friends.
00:10 I was just like, man, I just never thought that it would be Kobe.
00:14 >> I apologize if this question was already asked, but
00:17 it seems like a few games ago we were in there asking about the dunk contest.
00:22 And you said that you were, that now it's confirmed that you're in, and
00:26 it was word that you were gonna reach out to him.
00:28 Did he know about that?
00:29 >> Yeah, he did, he did.
00:31 And he was gonna do something for me in the dunk contest.
00:37 So, it's just kind of heartbreaking.
00:41 It's been in my mind every day, man, I can't believe it.
00:48 I'm still in shock, it hurts.
00:51 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:57 It's tough, I just never thought that somebody like that would be gone.
01:03 And it's something that I just tell people,
01:08 if you have any bitterness or anger,
01:13 whatever, strive towards anybody, let it go.
01:19 Let them know how you feel, get those feelings out,
01:22 let them know because you never know what could happen.
01:25 Life comes and goes just like that.
01:28 And for me, it's just super sad because I really wanted to tell him
01:33 how much I appreciate everything he's done.
01:37 All the things he said, even at the time that we were on the same team,
01:42 we didn't understand each other, but I saw a different Kobe.
01:45 And I even saw a change in myself, and I'm pretty sure he saw it.
01:50 So I just wanted to be able to tell him how I felt about him.
01:56 And I never got a chance to, and that was really the most heartbreaking part.
02:02 So, every day has just been on my mind, and
02:10 something that we just gotta deal with.
02:13 Just show the fans in the city that I'm willing to do whatever it takes.
