00:00 For 106 days and at the end of that time not one of the crew could tell the authorities what his name was.
00:12 These people who died, clearly the shipping company must have been able to notify the family that sadly they've lost their loved one.
00:20 Who do you notify in the Cook's case?
00:23 So with particular reference to the Cook, on behalf of us all, let's position this here and then I'm going to invite you just for a minute's reflection, just reflect on what's happened here.
00:41 The recent efforts of Alan have highlighted to me that there are many different groups who are all an equally important part of the story and need to be recognised together.
00:53 I include the deceased from the Fiji, the survivors from the Fiji, Arthur Wilkinson, Julius Gerbau, who through superhuman efforts swam ashore that day and scaled the enormous cliffs here.
01:10 A truly incredible feat.
01:13 All those who gave help and comfort on the beach, those who pulled the survivors up through the cliff and got them up to the top, those who moved them down to River Nook House where John and Emily Evans looked after those people.
01:33 And all those in the local community who gave continued support, fundraised and looked after those people for many, many months.
01:43 There are many others, I'm sure, and the one that I would add this morning is Andrew and Mick.
01:52 And your endeavours here again are a very important part in helping us sustain this wonderful story and tribute to our forebears.
