00:00 So there's 96 participants this year across the team mate, 16 teams of 6.
00:04 We're almost at $35,000 raised as a community here locally,
00:09 with the support of CrossFit Erupt and CrossFit Happy across the border as well.
00:13 The 24 Hour Heroes is a fundraising event that raises money for Wounded Heroes.
00:19 Wounded Heroes is a cash funded non-governmental agency.
00:21 What's really wonderful about that is they have the power to move really quickly,
00:26 give funding to the veterans in need for mental health support.
00:29 It's quite emotional, hence why the adrenaline is so high.
00:33 Everyone is exhausted by the end of it, but it is for a good cause.
00:37 We're trying to honour the memory and the legacy of those who have fallen,
00:41 to give us the freedom in this country that we have.
00:43 So being awake for 24 hours and doing a few workouts is nothing compared to
00:47 what the families who have lost their father or their mother,
00:50 or their husband or their wife, are experiencing still to this day.
