00:02 - Let's go to the National League.
00:06 There are three very obvious names,
00:08 but some of these numbers here jump out to me.
00:10 Joe, take it.
00:11 - Yeah, look, Mookie Betts obviously at the top
00:13 after a stunning April, but he's got Otani there,
00:17 his teammate at plus 850, and Freddie Freeman's no slouch.
00:19 Right now, Mookie Betts is the leader for a reason.
00:21 He's been the best player,
00:22 probably in baseball, you would argue.
00:24 Ronald Acuna is probably where he started, a slow April,
00:27 but still plus 700 is a really good number on him.
00:31 I think what's intriguing right now
00:32 is if we take a look at the long shot,
00:34 which is Eli De La Cruz.
00:36 Now, Eli's at plus 1500,
00:38 and he's moved up the board considerably
00:40 since the opening of the season.
00:41 I don't think anybody was talking about De La Cruz
00:43 as a serious MVP candidate,
00:44 but when you look at the numbers that he's put up so far,
00:47 those are MVP caliber numbers.
00:49 The question remains, can he stay this hot?
00:51 Can he hit 300 with all the strikeouts
00:53 that he's got potentially in that bat?
00:54 That's a big question.
00:56 So I think this plus 1500, when it comes to De La Cruz,
00:59 it's a number I'm watching very carefully.
01:01 If he has another great May, that would push him,
01:05 I think, Matt, probably to about plus 500, maybe,
01:08 and then that's what I think when you jump into invest.
01:12 - And here's where Joe's smart, folks.
01:13 If you look at those numbers again,
01:14 if they stay that way, you saw Otani at plus 850,
01:17 you saw De La Cruz at plus 1500.
01:19 You can arb those, meaning that you can put a wager on both.
01:22 Even if one loses, the difference on the other side
01:25 is gonna be enough for you to cover your loss.
01:27 Good stuff, Joe.
