00:00 >> Carey, you guys had another slow start to very similar to game one offensively.
00:06 What went into that and then what was your mindset about halfway through
00:10 the second when you really went on the scoring run?
00:16 >> I mean, they start off the game hitting us in the mouth and hit shots and
00:20 took advantage of some of our rotations and got some open looks.
00:26 Some of them were contested but
00:27 they got into a great rhythm in that first quarter and when you give up 39 points in
00:32 a playoff game and you're trying to come back, it's gonna be difficult.
00:35 So we knew from that point on we had to play almost perfect.
00:39 We dug ourselves in a hole so there was no time to complain about it or
00:42 look to each other for any excuses.
00:44 It was just time to get it going.
00:47 Felt short but this is kind of a consistent thing in this series so
00:53 far in two games where Kawhi doesn't play again and then we're just
00:58 kind of dealing with the barrage of James Harden and Paul George getting off.
01:02 And so we obviously learned from the first time it happened, but
01:08 I guess we need to go through it a second time as a team.
01:11 And don't mistake my laughter for taking it any lightly or anything less or serious.
01:17 But in a basketball game like this,
01:20 it's tough to give a great team like that 39 points and not, or excuse me,
01:26 disrupt their rhythm moving forward.
01:28 So I feel like we did some good things moving forward but
01:30 we dug ourselves in a hole.

01:33 First, when they were up 31 in the second quarter,
01:36 what was that spark moment feeling for you when you started to get on a roll?
01:40 >> No other choice but to hit back and I felt like in that first quarter we got
01:47 some good looks but our pace just wasn't matching theirs and
01:51 they forced us into some tough contested twos and tough contested threes.
01:55 And I felt like we settled a little bit in that first quarter,
01:57 we should have got to free the line a little bit more and
01:59 attack some of their weaker defenders.
02:02 But when you're down 31, especially in a playoff game at home,
02:05 you have no other choice but to fight back.
02:07 So I felt like we took some strides in a positive direction on that
02:11 aspect of responding.
02:12 But again, when you give a team like this 39 points and
02:16 you only score 16, it's gonna be tough to get out of that hole.
02:18 >> And then with the slow starts, Coach Kidd pointed to the commonality from
02:23 game one to today of the afternoon tip.
02:25 What, if anything, do you see with that?
02:27 >> It could be a myriad of reasons.
02:30 I mean, I respect his opinion and for us as players, we just gotta respond.
