00:11 Now this is the all new 2024 Forza Gurkha and this is the five-door version.
00:17 So let's quickly start this video and I'll tell you everything you need to know about this SUV.

00:26 So starting off with the front end, you get this Gurkha badging right up over here, you get this honeycomb grille,
00:32 that's finished in metal, plus you can see you get a lot of matte black finishing at the front,
00:37 only this part of the car is finished in chrome, that is the logo, other than that you get LED headlights,
00:43 you get DRLs, you get halogen fog lamps and you get the G-Wagon inspired turn signals over here on either sides.
00:52 Plus, you can see you get a massive hood and the hood lines and creases make the car look even much more bulkier.

01:01 As we move on to the side, you will see that now it gets this new five-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels,
01:06 these are 18-inch wheels and you get 225/65 R18 tyres, you also get body cladding,
01:13 but what you see over here is a factory fitted snorkel, which obviously helps you to wade water,
01:18 so this has a water wading capacity of over 700 mm, I think that is somewhere near here or somewhere,
01:24 so yeah, it can go very deep inside the water and that is because of the snorkel, so it pulls in air from here.
01:31 So, what you see over here, this roll cage, this does not come with the car, you can buy it from the dealership,
01:36 it comes as an accessory and another thing that is an accessory is the roof rack that you see on top,
01:41 plus you can see that the car is very tall, again for reference, I'm 6'1" and you can see how tall
01:47 that the car is now, you also get a simple antenna, not a shock fin, plus if you move on to the side,
01:54 you will see you get a FM 2.6 CR badging on the fenders, plus you also have the indicators,
02:00 you have your matte black finished ORVM on the side, which does not fold, but can be electronically adjusted
02:07 from inside, plus now you have an extra door, before this, the Gurkha was always a three-door,
02:13 so now it is much more longer, the wheelbase has increased and the centre door that you see over here
02:19 has been added, so that it is easy for people to come in and go out, before that you used to have to enter

03:17 you have the Gurkha logo over here and you also get a step because the car is very tall,
03:23 to be precise, you have 233 mm of ground clearance, which is really, really tall, open the rear door,
03:31 this is how you open it and this is the rear two seats, you have some space, you can see I've kept my
03:36 cabin bag and plus there is some more storage space over here and on the inside,
03:40 these seats do not fold, they just recline, so this is like this, you have some more storage space over here,
03:45 if you want to keep something and yeah, so that is the boot, now on the inside, this is the centre row,
03:55 now this has been added, this is a bench, well, you also have an armrest, so if you are two people travelling,
04:02 you have cup holders and you have two headrests, you do not have a third headrest, so pretty comfortable seats,
04:07 however, the legroom is slightly less, as you can see, the seat is adjusted according to my height,

05:34 so now the car is switched on and you can see, this is the touchscreen that you get, the AC vents,
05:41 you have the Gurkha badging over here, you have two airbags, the front airbags, this is the steering wheel,
05:46 no steering mounted controls and this is the new digital instrument cluster, lot of information about the vehicle
05:52 can be displayed on this also but I mean, yeah, this is the company that supplies it, obviously,
05:57 it's a company that has tied up with force and you might have seen this somewhere aftermarket on any other car,
06:04 over here, what you see is your passenger airbag, your eco button, so this has two modes,
06:09 you have eco, now it's power, when you press this, it becomes eco, so there is no normal,
06:13 there is only eco and power, so this is for your rear fog light, hazard, this is for your front fog light,
06:19 this is for, this is, since this is a BS6 vehicle, this is for your DPF cleaning and your automatic start-stop button is over here,
06:24 you have manual controls for your AC plus you see over here, you have this air circulation,
06:30 you have AC max and AC minimum, this is the, this is a new feature that I am seeing,
06:34 so if you press this, the, I mean, the compressor will cool the vehicle little slower,
06:40 so there will be less cold air coming in and if you press max AC, obviously, it will go up,
06:45 you have your charging sockets over here, you have a 12-volt socket over here and you have your two type A sockets right over here,
06:54 now what you see over here, this is the front diff lock, so it is completely manual,
06:59 so you have to, there is a button over here, you have to pull this and then twist this,
07:04 once you twist this, you can see that sign has come over here, so when you put this down,
07:09 if you put this down, you can see that the sign has now gone away and yeah, this is your 5-speed gearbox,
07:16 you have your window controls over here for your passenger and the rear windows,
07:19 you have a child lock for the window, a lot of storage space, sorry, there are a lot of bottles over here,
07:24 so you can see your storage space here, you have storage space here and you also get these two armrests that can be adjusted like this,
07:31 so for example, if you recline this seat, this armrest can be adjusted, you can see there is a lever over here,
07:35 so this can be adjusted in various angles, so that was the interiors of the all-new Force Gurkha

07:46 these are seat covers, but they look really, really premium and the seat is very comfortable,
07:51 now let's go drive the car and I'll tell you how is it to drive on the road.
08:00 So guys, now we are sitting in the all-new Force Gurkha and let me give you a quick engine brief about the vehicle.
08:06 So this vehicle is powered by a 2.6-litre turbo diesel engine and it's made it to a manual gearbox,
08:14 Force has always had a manual gearbox, however, they have never had an automatic gearbox,
08:19 so 5-speed manual and now the power and the torque has gone up significantly,
08:25 so the power now has touched around 140bhp and the torque is now 320Nm, which was really required for the Gurkha
08:33 because the previous generation Gurkha had power figures that was around say around 90-94bhp and around 250Nm,
08:40 that was really, really less for off-roading, but since this has more torque now, more cruising capability
08:46 and the off-roading that it does is really, really well, however, on the road, when we drove the car,
08:51 we felt that obviously because it's a tall car, it's a very tall car, so there is a lot of body roll that is there in this,
08:57 but I mean, if you can live with that, then yeah, it is, I mean, the road presence of this car is just amazing.
09:06 You have a couple of things, so you have your front diff lock and your rear diff lock, that is mechanical,
09:10 so you have a lever, just pull it up and you have your two high, four high and four low,
09:15 so four high, you can put it on the shift, but for four low, you have to keep the car stationary
09:19 and after the car is stationary, you can select your four low and then you can proceed further.
09:25 So yeah, it's got a decent acceleration, it's got a very decent mid-range, top-end,
09:32 we could not test out because we are in very narrow Goa streets and so, I mean, on first gear,
09:39 again, it redlines at around 4000rpm, but in first gear, it is absolutely like in first and second,
09:47 I mean, there is no instant pull that you get from this vehicle, but what it has is,
09:53 it has extreme off-road capabilities, it can crawl over anything, with 233mm ground clearance,
09:59 you have a lot of clearance underneath. Well, also, everything has been revamped from the dashboard
10:05 to the seats to everything, so now the Gurkha looks premium from inside and you can see,
10:11 seats are comfortable, seats have armrests and a lot of things have been changed.
10:15 So, we'll be getting the Forza Gurkha 2024 for a long-term review later on and we'll be telling you
10:20 about the mileage, about how it drives in the city, within the traffic,
10:22 especially the 5 door one since it has now become longer.
