McKenzie Ridley, a learner driver who "panicked" and sparked a 90mph police chase around South Tyneside because he was worried his mum would find out he had been pulled over on February 27.
Newcastle Crown Court heard how during the journey the college student repeatedly used his indicators as he led the cops on a high speed chase, but failed to give way, travelled on the wrong side of the road, went the wrong way around a roundabout, through red lights and successfully swerved to avoid a police stinger deployed to stop him.
