00:00Just over a year ago, I attended a fundraiser here at Pattingham Club ahead of the WBC World Championships,
00:09where sisters Winnie and Tilly were representing England's Muay Thai team.
00:14Fast forward 12 months and off the back of both becoming WBC champions,
00:19they're basking in the glory, but the work has only just begun.
00:24I fought for the WBC British under-16 featherweight title.
00:30It went really good. I got a second-round stoppage.
00:33I fought the girl twice before and she's really tough.
00:36I knew it would be a hard fight, but I trained hard for it and it paid off when I was in the ring.
00:41And obviously, Winnie, your sister, winning a belt as well on the night is quite a special achievement
00:46for both of you to go and win a belt as well. How special did that make you feel?
00:51It was really cool. To say one of us got a title was cool and then two was just unreal.
00:58But the Olympics coming up this summer, there's a lot of fighting events there.
01:01Muay Thai hasn't quite been into the Olympics yet and people are trying to get the sport into the Olympics in the future.
01:09Is that something you'd like to see the sport get into?
01:12Definitely.
01:13Is it maybe a dream for you?
01:14Yeah, definitely a dream. I'd love to do it in the Olympics.
01:18You fought after Tilly, your sister. How much pressure did that bring after seeing that she'd won?
01:23I think it brought a lot of pressure because I just wanted it so much.
01:28And I wanted for Tilly to win and me to win. And then because Tilly won, I just wanted it to all work out.
01:37I think it just shows how hard we all push each other and how much we want success.
01:44For the girls to get a chance of fighting on a good quality adult show, there was a WBC world title on the day.
01:53So the level of competition there was as good as you get in the UK.
01:59They're showcasing themselves in front of people who know the sport.
02:03So to do that and then go and perform like they did is what I like to see really.
02:09People coming up after and saying how well they did. It's like a job done. That's why we do it really.
02:16Their dad, Tom, can't express how proud he is of his girls, who are slowly making a name for themselves on the biggest of stages in the fighting world.
02:26They're nice to look back on, I think, as you get older, as you hopefully make a career out of it, remember where it all began.
02:34They've got numerous belts, to be honest. The green strap is the sought-after one.
02:41So I wanted to get them the opportunity. All the dedication, the hard work, they do that themselves.
02:47We have good people around us, but it doesn't all come together on one day.
02:52It's to do with diet, training. So when it does go your way, obviously it's fantastic.
