00:00 Hello and welcome to Triggin Cottage. So this is a house we've been working to restore.

00:07 Myself, Jessie and Talia over the last three and a half years and we've been

00:14 given the opportunity to be part of the National Trust Heritage Awards for 2024.

00:21 So our project was a big one through bushfires, floods, COVID, moving town and having a little

00:32 daughter. It's tested us but we've come out the other side still smiling and with a beautiful

00:40 home. So let's show you down to the rest of the house. Jessie did most of the work or a lot of

00:45 the work himself while I was busy at home looking after our baby daughter all while I was still

00:50 living in Port Macquarie before we moved here. So this is the kind of extension to the house

00:56 and then our kitchen and our living room here. So this part of the house has had a life. We

01:04 believe it was probably some form of originally a service quarters but it wasn't very well built

01:10 so we've had to rebuild this entire wall from scratch so to match what you see today back to

01:17 the original and then from previously a laundry and a toilet to now our family kitchen. So

01:28 quite a transformation.
