00:00Hey, you kicked my wrench!
00:02Jerkface.
00:04Welcome to WatchMojo,
00:06and today we're counting down our picks
00:08for the funniest time Saturday Night Live
00:10took on a galaxy far, far away.
00:12You need to relax.
00:14Nah, not really.
00:16Number 10.
00:18Nick the Lounge Singer sings Star Wars theme.
00:20One of Bill Murray's famous
00:22SNL characters is Nick Winters,
00:24a lounge singer at the Powder Room.
00:26Hey, I am gonna autograph
00:28your cast here, if you don't mind.
00:30A little something I always sign.
00:32Don't eat yellow snow, Nick Winters.
00:34Alright, honey?
00:36Dressed in a black and silver ensemble,
00:38he works the room, chatting with the ski resort residents,
00:40and sings a few renditions
00:42of hit songs.
00:44Ah, that's the way, uh-huh, uh-huh,
00:46I like it.
00:48He closes out his set with what he calls
00:50a real hit out of 77,
00:52which happens to be John Williams' Star Wars theme.
00:54Of course, Winters adds
00:56some of his own lyrics to the track.
01:08You are sure to have
01:10Star Wars
01:12Nothing but Star Wars
01:14in your head for
01:16weeks.
01:18Star Wars
01:20goes near and far.
01:22My seventh winner up here.
01:28Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan play
01:30Shopping Network hosts selling collectibles
01:32for their Star Wars bonanza.
01:34If we still have 50 Star Wars
01:36baseball card collections left.
01:38And that includes the Chewbacca
01:40if he played for the Brewers card.
01:42That is lovely.
01:44The one and only Mark Hamill appears in the sketch
01:46as the ultimate Star Wars collectible.
01:48He's brought out in handcuffs with a bag
01:50over his head, clearly having
01:52been kidnapped. The Luke Skywalker actor
01:54is on sale for a mere
01:56$80,000.
02:08Quite the steal.
02:10Callers ask Hamill to recite memorable movie
02:12lines, except none of the lines
02:14are actually spoken by Luke
02:16in the films. Luckily, he's purchased
02:18by his old friend Harrison Ford.
02:34In this sketch,
02:36J.J. Abrams introduces an exclusive
02:38clip from a fictional film titled
02:40The Mos Eisley Five, a Star Wars
02:42story.
02:50Mikey Day, Kate McKinnon, and Charles
02:52Barkley all resemble classic characters
02:54like Han Solo, Rey, and Obi-Wan.
02:56The group is joined by a
02:58Wookiee and a droid as they attempt to
03:00save a rebel pilot from a Jabba-like
03:02character named Goba. Barkley's
03:04character asks the question we've all wondered.
03:06How does everyone in the galaxy
03:08understand each other when they all speak different languages?
03:12You answer them back in our language?
03:14Everybody understands each other.
03:16Makes me feel stupid. How'd y'all
03:18learn all this? It's a shame this hilarious
03:20sketch was cut for time, especially
03:22with its high production value.
03:24Thank God you're alive. You have a map
03:26to the secret planet?
03:32Man, f*** this!
03:36In 1978,
03:38host Carrie Fisher took to the stage
03:40as her iconic Princess Leia character
03:42in full costume and space buns.
03:44You know, I went along with it because
03:46if I came out of myself,
03:48who would recognize me?
03:50Fisher goes from her monologue straight into
03:52a 1950s beach movie sketch
03:54featuring legendary cast members
03:56Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd,
03:58Jane Curtin, and John Belushi.
04:00Leia finds herself transported to a
04:02beach, drawing a lot of attention
04:04from the boys. Wow.
04:06Real princess from outer space.
04:08Princess Leia!
04:12For some reason,
04:14she breaks into a song about being the new kid
04:16on Earth.
04:18I'm a teenager from outer space
04:22Try to make it in the human race
04:24Good luck getting that
04:26Obi-Wan Kenobi chorus out of your head,
04:28though you might not want to. It's a catchy one.
04:30Obi-Wan Kenobi!
04:32Obi-Wan Kenobi!
04:34Obi-Wan Kenobi!
04:36Number 6. Lando's Summit
04:38Donald Glover stars as a young
04:40Lando Calrissian in 2018's
04:42solo A Star Wars Story.
04:44While hosting SNL that same year,
04:46Glover slipped back into the role of the charismatic
04:48character for Lando's intergalactic
04:50summit for all black humans.
04:52I love alien girls because it's always a surprise
04:54when the clothes come off.
04:56So it's like, oh, that's your that?
04:58We'll figure it out.
05:00The sketch calls out the noticeable
05:02lack of diversity in the franchise by
05:04showing only four black humans in
05:06attendance. Kenan Thompson channels
05:08Forrest Whitaker's Saw Gerrera from
05:10Rogue One and honors the memory
05:12of other black people in the galaxy before them.
05:14Mace Windu!
05:16Thank you.
05:18The list only includes
05:20Mace Windu, famously
05:22played by Samuel L. Jackson in the
05:24prequel trilogy. The oppression of the
05:26Sith will never return.
05:28You have lost.
05:30No.
05:32No.
05:34You must die.
05:36Number five.
05:38Weekend Update.
05:40Baby Yoda on season two of The Mandalorian.
05:42It's really good to see you, Baby Yoda.
05:44How you been? I've been good. I've been good.
05:46Baby Yoda, a.k.a.
05:48Grogu, was an instant fan favorite
05:50when The Mandalorian premiered in 2019.
05:52Kyle Mooney plays him as
05:54a cocky young celeb who rocks
05:56a gold earring and name drops famous
05:58members of his crew. I spent the summer
06:00quarantining with my homies
06:02Jake Paul, Mia Khalifa,
06:04and Wreck-It Ralph.
06:06Nice dude. Real nice dude.
06:08In Baby Yoda's second appearance on
06:10Weekend Update, he talks about partying
06:12with the likes of Jake Paul and
06:14indulges in certain recreational
06:16activities. He even plugs his
06:18own line of Star Wars-themed cannabis
06:20products. Baby Yoda, you do
06:22really smoke weed? Oh,
06:24hell yeah!
06:26Hey, how you think I got so green?
06:28But the funniest part is probably
06:30Baby Yoda calling out another adorable
06:32and popular little green guy,
06:34Baby Groot. I'm gonna put it like this,
06:36Baby Groot,
06:38we ain't
06:40friends.
06:42Number four, Star Wars Auditions.
06:44SNL audition sketches
06:46give the cast members a chance to show off
06:48their best celebrity impressions. Hurry, the
06:50ship's leaving. Yes, we need
06:52to go to space.
06:54Is it for the little minions?
06:56What? For this one, an array
06:58of celebs try to get a role in Star Wars
07:00The Force Awakens. Some of these
07:02impressions are scary good, like
07:04Taron Killam as David Beckham and
07:06Jay Pharoah as Chris Tucker.
07:08Hey, can you feel the force coming out of my mouth?
07:10Come on. Come on, they're coming.
07:14A few actual celebs show up for the screen
07:16tests, including Emma Stone and
07:18Finn himself, John Boyega.
07:22A Black Stormtrooper.
07:24Yeah, right.
07:26A Black Stormtrooper.
07:28But it's John Hamm
07:30and his Hamm solo character
07:32who steals the show. Now that's
07:34a character we'd love to see on the big screen.
07:36You have the first line.
07:38It's, what's up, Hamm
07:40solo? And I'm like,
07:42how's it going, guys?
07:44Number three, Undercover Boss.
07:46Where are they now?
07:48In a follow up to his first time going undercover,
07:50Kylo Ren dons a new persona as
07:52Randy, an entry level intern.
07:54Time to get a fresh perspective.
07:56Let's intern.
07:58This time around, he hangs out with the younger
08:00crowd, picking up slang and pretty
08:02much becoming a walking meme.
08:04Hey guys, I'm Randy, the new intern.
08:06Okay, boomer.
08:08He quickly learns that interns don't have it
08:10so great, always tasked with the
08:12undesirable work and dealing with
08:14jerk bosses. Straws?
08:16Great, we'll just suck it out of the little hole
08:18in the top. Thank you,
08:20Randy. When one of his
08:22fellow interns is upset about not getting to be
08:24a tie fighter, Kylo gives her the chance
08:26to be part of the team, but she makes
08:28the fatal mistake of idolizing the
08:30wrong pilot, Luke Skywalker.
08:32And now you'll die like him too.
08:34Okay, boomer.
08:36Number two,
08:38Star Wars Toy Commercial.
08:40Some fans collect toys to
08:42display rather than play.
08:44SNL's commercial for Star Wars The Force
08:46Awakens toys pokes fun at hardcore
08:48memorabilia collectors.
08:50Action figures and play sets for ages six and up.
08:52Way up.
08:54The kids in the commercial actually play with the action
08:56figures, much to the dismay of
08:58the grown-up fans trying to admire the collectibles
09:00at an encased distance.
09:02I have Rey and Finn.
09:04I have three of each. One to display,
09:06one to open, and one just encased.
09:08Why? SNL accurately
09:10captures the classic style of kids' toy ads.
09:12It shows the playfulness of
09:14childhood in stark contrast to the adult
09:16need for preservation. There's a bigger
09:18message here about keeping the whimsy in
09:20fandoms, but it's also just funny.
09:22Collect them all and the fun never stops.
09:36Awesome!
09:38Before we unveil our top pick,
09:40here are some honorable mentions.
09:42Natalie's Rap 2.
09:44Padme Amidala dares you to say something
09:46bad about the prequels.
09:52Weekend Update. Baby Yoda on
09:54Star Wars Day celebrations.
09:56A jacked Baby Yoda announces his
09:58upcoming fight with Baby Groot.
10:00I know it's for charity,
10:02but I do intend to end your life
10:04at night.
10:06HBO First Look. Star Wars.
10:08George Lucas casts
10:10N'Sync in Attack of the Clones.
10:12They actually did film a cameo that was later cut.
10:24Natalie Portman
10:26answers questions about Star Wars.
10:28The actress schools hardcore fans
10:30with her knowledge of Star Wars.
10:42Overdressed for the theater.
10:44Star Wars cosplay doesn't go over
10:46well at the movies.

11:18In this hilarious sketch,
11:20Kylo Ren disguises himself as Matt,
11:22a radar technician, to see what it's like
11:24for his employees on the Starkiller base.
11:26Parodying the CBS reality show
11:28Undercover Boss, Kylo works
11:30an entry-level position and realizes
11:32the job is harder than he thought.
11:34He also has a heart-to-heart with
11:36Lieutenant Colonel Zack, who is
11:38struggling after the death of his son,
11:40who Kylo happened to kill.
11:56Really struck a nerve with me.
11:58Especially since I'm the one
12:00that killed him.
12:02Kylo has trouble containing
12:04his rage and throws a bad-mouthing
12:06stormtrooper across the cafeteria.
12:08Oh no, he's choking on food.
12:12I see what's in your mind.
12:14It
12:16is
12:18stupid!
12:20This solidifies anyone's
12:22suspicions of his true identity as
12:24Supreme Leader of the First Order.
12:26Host Adam Driver brings his expert
12:28acting chops to channel his iconic character,
12:30making this our favorite
12:32Star Wars sketch on SNL.
12:34I had a blast today.
12:36I really learned a lot.
12:38And people are gonna love the new me.
12:44Which of these was your favorite
12:46SNL Star Wars sketch? Let us know
12:48in the comments.
12:50Leslie Jones screen test.
12:52Captain, we have entered the regular
12:54neutral zone, but our shields are at
12:5612%.
12:58That's great, Leslie, but that's Star Trek. We're making a new
13:00Star Wars. Motherf*****!
