00:00 >> Toyota pace car is in.
00:10 Here they come to the flag.
00:11 The advent health 400 is underway.
00:21 >> Probably a great push from the back of Kyle Larson.
00:43 >> Who will lead lap one?
00:46 From the outside, bell at the line.
00:50 >> 29 cars on the lead lap.
00:53 With Kraus pinning several.
00:55 One lap down.
00:57 At least until he makes his stop.
00:59 >> Look at that.
01:00 >> Going to cross over.
01:02 >> What a battle.
01:08 >> Oh, shuts him off.
01:19 >> And that's what you have to be aggressive right there in taking that position.
01:23 We saw it with Larson moving up the racetrack.
01:26 You see Ross Chastain take that position right back from Kyle Larson.
01:33 >> Don't think that's not real.
01:35 There he goes again.
01:36 That's about the third, fourth lap in a row.
01:38 >> In this lap you see Denny Hamlin run the middle lane.
01:40 He tried the very bottom the last lap.
01:43 Side by side cars make that really difficult for Ross.
01:46 Kyle get loose right there.
01:49 >> That big wiggle out of Kyle.
01:51 It shows you his tires are wearing out.
01:53 Much like last year.
01:54 Kyle wears that right rear out much like this last run.
01:57 He already said.
01:59 Hard on the right rear.
02:00 Here comes Denny Hamlin.
02:01 Which we know he's good at managing his tires.
02:03 That's his strong suit.
02:04 Long runs and away he goes to the lead.
02:06 11.
02:07 >> Two to go.
02:08 You saw Elliott and Mcdowell battling for that last stage point.
02:12 Tenth place.
02:13 Two to go in stage one.
02:19 Last lap of stage one.
02:21 Thank you, Kevin.
02:22 >> Going to give him one more shot on the bottom.
02:28 Not going to do it.
02:33 >> One thing we have learned is Denny Hamlin is going to win the first stage here.
02:38 The right rear tires are going to be an issue.
02:39 We see all these cars sliding around.
02:43 >> Some adjustments coming for sure.
02:45 >> We go green.
02:46 >> He's the spotter for Austin Hill.
02:47 We are back to green for stage two.
02:50 >> It was my spotter for many years.
02:52 >> Look at the inside.
02:53 Big block out of Chastain.
03:01 >> Ty Gibbs looking way up top as Bell and Chastain battle for the lead.
03:05 >> We just talked about the end of that run and Christopher Bell's car and how good it
03:08 was.
03:09 I wonder if they could make it any better at the beginning of this run.
03:13 You see him right here.
03:14 Oh, man.
03:17 Both of them have to check up.
03:18 >> Look who it is.
03:19 Four wide.
03:20 Here we go.
03:21 Five wide.
03:22 >> You saw Ross Chastain go up the racetrack.
03:25 Those cars get almost locked together.
03:28 Now they're five wide going down the front straightaway.
03:30 That's cool.
03:31 >> Want to see it again?
03:34 I do.
03:35 >> It tells you how big it was.
03:41 Ty Gibbs thought they were going to wreck.
03:43 You hear how big he lifted up out of the gas.
03:45 Trying to figure out if they were going to shoot up and be in the wall and rat in his
03:49 lap.
03:50 >> He had a head of steam so big he had to let all the way out of the gas.
03:53 >> He came out of it pretty well.
03:54 He is third now behind Larson and Buescher.
03:57 23.11 has stayed out.
03:59 >> Uh-oh.
04:00 Trouble.
04:01 Kyle Larson left front.
04:02 Oh, no.
04:03 >> That will cost him the lead, won't it?
04:07 >> You saw the front tire changer going back and forth on that left front lug nut.
04:11 Chris Buescher has done a great job in this stage.
04:13 Last lap coming down the back straightaway.
04:17 >> Best news for Hamlin is he will not have to worry about Austin Hill in the pit stall
04:21 in front of him.
04:22 Hill is now one lap down.
04:23 Hey, for the last stage point, here comes chase Elliott and Christopher Bell trying to
04:29 get into that battle.
04:31 As Chris Buescher crosses the line with a stage win.
04:34 >> Look at this, guys.
04:35 A 5 beat him out.
04:36 But the 11 had trouble again.
04:38 Ryan Preece, 41, was coming in.
04:41 Blocked him.
04:42 Couldn't find his stall.
04:43 Stalled the 11 out and gets held up again, guys.
04:48 >> My goodness.
04:49 >> So Hamlin coming out.
04:50 Now Preece's stall is further down.
04:52 He's trying not to be in the way.
04:54 That's hard to do.
04:55 Double trouble for Chris Buescher.
04:57 There is that windshield tear off.
04:58 Look here where the tire changer and tire carrier are over the wall too soon.
05:05 That will send Buescher to the tail end of the line.
05:09 Trouble turn two.
05:11 And down goes Jimmie Johnson.
05:13 Two cars still up at the wall.
05:16 And a three car pile up in the middle of one and two.
05:23 >> Austin Hill with damage.
05:24 And it's Corey Loggioia up against the wall.
05:32 >> That will be the first caution of the day other than the stage breaks.
05:36 And makes a short day for the seven-time champion.
05:40 >> He's getting out.
05:41 His day will be done.
05:42 >> We'll crank it up on the restart.
05:43 >> I'm going to try to get the car out of the way.
06:09 >> It's in the wall.
06:23 >> On the back straightaway.
06:24 >> Trouble back straightaway.
06:25 Bubba Wallace gets turned around by a car bouncing off the wall as they were four wide
06:30 coming off turn number two.
06:32 >> I think it was that car right there, Austin.
06:35 >> He said it was a car on that outside wall.
06:38 Clipped Bubba as he went by.
06:41 >> Finishing races is so important.
06:44 See just wrong place, wrong time.
06:45 But you get in the middle of the pack like that, things are going to happen.
06:52 >> See Sendrick come back down and clip that right rear of Bubba Wallace.
06:56 >> You see the right rear wheel flopping around.
06:58 That toe link broke.
06:59 >> Boy, it's in it hard into Mcdowell.
07:04 >> Dillon at a ringside seat.
07:06 So did Harrison Burton.
07:08 And Nemechek takes evasive action way down to the track apron.
07:12 >> Busch and Larson in front of Gibbs and Truex.
07:14 Chastain and Reddick.
07:15 Byron and bowman.
07:16 >> Kyle Larson with a much better start that time.
07:22 >> Much better push out of the back end with Ty Gibbs pushing him off into that corner.
07:29 Here it is.
07:30 Logano come off the corner door to door for the lead.
07:35 >> Kyle Larson chasing Kyle Busch down the racetrack to get that side draft.
07:38 So he's able to check him up down the straightaway.
07:44 Sun's gone down.
07:45 Track's back cool.
07:46 Lights are on.
07:47 It's going to be okay.
07:48 >> Around goes Logano.
07:49 >> Unbelievable, guys.
07:50 >> On that caution flag, the first six cars down to Michael Mcdowell.
08:00 Stayed on the racetrack led by Todd Gilliland, Mcdowell's teammate.
08:05 Hamlin, Busch, and Haley.
08:07 And Wallace along with Mcdowell did not pit.
08:10 So Kyle Busch in the number eight will be the first car on new tires when we restart.
08:16 Gilliland, Hamlin, Busch, Haley, Wallace, Mcdowell.
08:21 All on older tires.
08:23 Here we go.
08:24 >> That was so close.
08:42 Kyle Busch got in the wall a little bit.
08:43 LaJoy moved up the racetrack.
08:47 He had to make an adjustment there, Kevin.
08:48 I think he brushed it but he didn't hit it hard enough to affect that car.
08:52 >> Look at this.
08:54 Here comes Truex on the outside.
08:57 >> You have so many different strategies.
08:58 You have cars on four tires, cars on no tires.
09:02 Guys checking up.
09:03 Kyle Larson pinned down on the bottom of the racetrack right now.
09:06 Yeah, and Chris Buescher right now.
09:11 He needs to do all he can to clear Denny Hamlin.
09:14 >> I think he is.
09:15 >> Not that he isn't.
09:16 >> I think he is, Kevin.
09:17 >> Yes.
09:18 >> All the way back through tenth.
09:20 There's nobody single file.
09:22 >> The reason I say that about Denny Hamlin is we know his car is going to get better
09:26 and better compared to the field the longer he runs.
09:35 You see Buescher fight back on the outside.
09:38 Denny was just a bumper cover distance from being clear right there.
09:42 >> I think Denny has a lot of confidence in the speed, the long run speed of his race
09:46 car.
09:47 He was pretty easy on Buescher.
09:50 He let him go and drove right back to him here.
09:53 I think he knows he gets his car up front on the long run.
09:57 That's his strong suit.
09:59 >> Buescher with pace on the outside.
10:04 But Hamlin gets a good launch off the bottom of turn two.
10:08 >> Still door to door.
10:09 >> Drove it down way deep into the corner.
10:13 He's going to slide up in front of him here and try to take that lead away.
10:17 Obviously going to try to cross over on Buescher.
10:19 >> No prevail.
10:20 Denny Hamlin to the lead.
10:21 >> It's going to be a half a second by the time we get --
10:23 >> Oh!
10:24 >> Kyle Buescher.
10:25 >> That's going to take care of all that conversation.
10:29 >> Trying to get it back.
10:31 The leader gets there.
10:32 Leader is turn four.
10:35 >> Kyle was fifth when he went around.
10:38 >> Wow!
10:39 >> So much for all that.
10:42 >> All right.
10:43 Here comes Hamlin down to the end of the pit road.
10:46 This time gets away clean and gets out first.
10:49 Buescher.
10:50 He ain't out of it yet.
10:52 Keep an eye on that 17.
10:53 He's hungry.
10:54 That was a really fast two-tire stop for Hamlin's guys.
10:57 >> Here we go.
10:58 Big jump on that outside.
11:01 Great restart.
11:02 Great jump.
11:03 Here comes Larson to the inside.
11:04 Three wide to Denny.
11:05 Momentum on the outside.
11:06 Buescher to the lead.
11:11 Larson right with him.
11:12 But Buescher with the launch off turn two.
11:16 Elliott way on the outside.
11:17 He's got it so far.
11:18 The blocking is going to happen.
11:20 Here it comes.
11:21 Comes Denny to the -- excuse me, Truex to the inside.
11:24 Look at the big block by Buescher.
11:26 Pushes Larson up the racetrack.
11:29 Three wide behind them.
11:30 >> Three wide, four different places coming to the back.
11:33 White flag under green.
11:34 Buescher, Larson trying to close.
11:37 Truex trying to get up to the leader.
11:39 >> How did he make the block, Kevin?
11:41 >> Kyle Larson is going to get there one more time.
11:43 You see Chris Buescher back down on the bottom of the racetrack.
11:45 Kyle Larson is going to have one more shot at it.
11:48 It's going to become a cat and mouse game as you get into turn three.
11:50 Which direction to go.
11:51 >> Where do you go?
11:55 Larson up top.
11:56 All the way up top.
11:57 Buescher.
11:58 >> He's on the outside.
11:59 He's in position.
12:00 He's got it.
12:01 >> Here comes Truex.
12:02 They're going to close right to the two leaders.
12:03 Coming to the line.
12:04 Clash together.
12:05 I believe Buescher.
12:06 >> I think the ride is so close.
12:10 This is going to be a huge win for Buescher.
12:12 They're excited.
12:13 I think it's him, Kevin.
12:15 >> That was incredible.
12:18 >> Corey Heim gets spun just past the checkered flag.
12:22 With I think Austin Dillon.
12:26 >> Let's look at it.
12:27 >> I don't -- >> It may be the 5.
12:32 >> Hold on.
12:34 >> Well, let's have a look at the video.
12:37 >> Uh-oh, boys.
12:39 >> Buescher is ahead.
12:41 Larson is coming.
12:43 It's like the Kentucky derby.
12:46 It's Larson.
12:47 >> Holy cow.
12:48 >> What a finish, boys.
12:54 >> Can you believe it?
12:55 >> I cannot.
12:56 >> I can.
12:57 >> But what a crash.
12:58 >> Oh, man.
12:59 >> I hate it for Chris Buescher.
