00:14the President said that the Philippines are using the dividends or earnings of the GOCCs that were remitted to the national government to improve the lives of Filipinos.
00:23Last year, the collected dividends of the GOCCs amounted to Php 100 billion.
00:29This is more than 40% higher than the Php 68 billion collection in 2022.
00:35President Marcos Jr. believes that this will increase this year.
00:39Among the first ten GOCCs are the Land Bank of the Philippines, Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Philippine Port Authority, and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.
00:52Since those dividends also come from the people, let me assure you that they will be carefully spent like the precious taxes that come from the sweat of their brow.
