A shocking video shows a 50-foot-long beached whale washed up on the shore in Delaware, USA.
The videos, filmed on Sunday, near the Indian River Inlet Bridge in Sussex County, show the huge mammal lying motionless as spectators gather to take a look.
A representative from the Marine Education, Research, and Rehabilitation Institute (MERR) confirmed that the whale was a sub-adult fin whale.
According to MERR, fin whales are an off-shore, deep-sea species that would not usually be near the shore unless they are very weak.
MERR officials did attempt to sedate the animal, but couldn't get close enough due to high water levels and strong waves.
The whale sadly didn't survive.
