00:00Your own Glasgow, where are the places that you really cherish and gravitate towards?
00:04What would be your kind of weekend places and places where you're not in the kitchen?
00:08When I first moved to Glasgow, I lived in the Gorbals and I bought a place in the Gorbals in St. Francis rig
00:15and so I used to love going to Sharky's. I used to love going to the Brazen Head right on my doorstep.
00:22You know, go and watch the matches.
00:25But then
00:26since I opened the Gannett, we've moved over to the West End. It makes sense, you know, we're here,
00:31we're working in the West End and we work a lot. So it's good to have everything at your footstep.
00:36So I live up beside the Botanics. So I like going down to the Wee Bar in the Chip.
00:40You know, even since Collins moved on, the Wee Bar is still a brilliant place to hang out.
00:46It's an oasis in the madness, say, in the West End.
00:51The Bell. I love going to the Bell, especially in the winter when they've got the fire going.
00:56And then the food scene here. It's brilliant. Brilliant.
00:59All the rise of all the Asian restaurants around the Barton Road. I'm always in and out of those.
01:04Like I said before, Oonalum for fine dining. It's a brilliant spot.
01:10Bar Brett, what Colin's doing is fantastic.
01:13You know, it's really vibrant. Glasgow is so vibrant.
01:16The food scene, the music scene, as I mentioned before, I love going to gigs.
01:21And luckily for us, everybody who's doing a tour, they come to Glasgow.
01:25It's one of the stops. And they don't just come to Glasgow. They love coming to Glasgow.
01:30And a lot of them bands have come in and out of the Gannet.
01:33You know, especially the Irish bands, we've got a connection.
01:36And I won't go dropping any names, but you'll always see them if they're touring the city.
01:42You'd drop a couple.
01:43You know, you could. My mate Curly, he's the guitarist of the Fontaines.
01:47He was doing a DJ night in, where was it, King Tut's recently.
01:52So he was on the blower looking for a table in the restaurant.
01:55And I'm sure when they come back to the Hydro, he'll be on the blower again.
01:59But good guy. Worked in a great bar in Monaghan once upon a time.
