Anna Paprzycka, of Tea Amantes Tearoom and Gallery, Blackpool, talks to reporter Richard Hunt about the special exhibition for Polish Week

00:00 Hello, I'm with Anna Papschutzka at the Tiamantes Tea Room and Gallery.
00:05 Exactly, Tiamantes Tea Room and Gallery.
00:08 Okay, and which road is it on?
00:09 Albert Road.
00:11 Albert Road in Blackpool, okay.
00:13 And you've had numerous exhibitions on here over the years.
00:16 Around 40 over the two years.
00:18 Wow, that's a lot, okay.
00:19 And this time you've got another one on, it started on Monday didn't it?
00:24 Yes.
00:24 What's going on, what is it?
00:25 This exhibition is related with the Polish Heritage Days in the UK.
00:30 And that is the first celebration after a long, long, long break if I can say.
00:38 Yes, and what sort of things have you got over here on show?
00:42 We've got a lovely collection, everything in English.
00:45 And the collection is related with the Polish and English friendship.
00:50 And Polish fighters from the Second World War II.
00:57 We've got, so they're wearing various uniforms.
01:00 So people can see that and that's an authentic Polish uniform isn't it?
01:06 And you've got various different posters.
01:09 And the exhibition will run till the 12th of May.
01:14 So if you are around please visit us.
01:17 And people can drop in and see what's going on.
01:22 I think on Monday when you launched it there were quite a few things going on.
01:26 Did you have some music and food and various things?
01:28 Yes, exactly.
01:29 But if you would like to visit us on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday,
01:35 you can order some Polish food as well.
01:38 Excellent, and what sort of Polish food would that be?
01:41 Golubki for example or Barszcz.
01:44 Okay.
01:47 And pierogi as well.
01:48 Sure, and the Barszcz, that's the soup, is it beetroot?
01:53 That is like a traditional beetroot soup.
01:55 Yes, excellent.
01:58 Okay then, and the exhibition that's going to be, it's going to conclude on the 12th.

02:06 Yes.
02:06 So people can come in here and they've got until then to look at it.
02:10 There are quite a lot of Polish people in Blackpool aren't there?
02:12 It's quite a well-established community.
02:14 I think, was it right, they came after the Second World War,
02:17 they were involved, they set up the Eagle Club and quite a few...
02:21 Polish-wide Eagle Club, yes.
02:23 Yes, that's right, and more recently quite a few have come, there are various shops.
02:27 There's quite a strong community of Polish people in Blackpool, you say?
02:30 It is, it is and...
02:32 Oops, sorry, I just pulled one.
02:34 Hello, gorgeous.
02:36 And yeah, we're trying to keep together and for the last three years
02:41 we're celebrating the Polish Harajuku days in Blackpool as well.
02:46 Excellent, so if people want to come here and check out what's going on,
