KKB polls: Police to deploy 1,133 personnel tomorrow

A total of 1,133 police personnel will be deployed for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election on Saturday (May 11).  Selangor police chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, urged all parties, including the public, supporters, and contesting party candidates, to adhere to the law and respect the by-election. 00:00I would like to inform you about the small election campaign, DUN N06,

00:11a new colloquium where the campaign started on 27th April and will end tonight.

00:19Tomorrow is the election day.

00:22I can conclude that the campaign went well and was very safe.

00:31The number of reports received by the police was very minimal.

00:35Only 10 reports.

00:37Out of those 10 reports, 5 of them were opened to the investigation

00:42and involved the arrest of two people.

00:45One of the cases was accused in court a few days ago.

00:50I would like to inform you that the police will be on duty throughout the election day.

00:59I have placed 1133 officers and staff on the ground

01:08and they will be on stand-by in certain places

01:11to ensure the safety of the people,

01:16especially in the new colloquium where many people will go out to vote.

01:23So, on 11th May, which is the day of voting for DUN N06,

01:30many people will be investigated,

01:33especially the candidates who will contest and supporters

01:37to always respect and comply with the law

01:42throughout the remaining campaign until midnight

01:50and also on the day after the election day.

01:53Avoid touching on issues related to 3R

01:56or doing anything provocative

01:59and things that can cause an unwanted incident.

02:04PDRM, especially the Langor Police,

02:12will ensure the safety of all voters

02:17to go out to vote without any worries about their safety.

02:21All voters and those involved should remember

02:25to park their vehicles in the appropriate places

02:28and avoid parking them on the side of the road

02:31or in areas that can block traffic

02:35or make it difficult for other people to use the road.

02:40Please obey all orders from the police on the ground.

02:46I also remind you that strict actions will be taken

02:51to violate the law, including involving arrests

02:54on any parties that violate the guidelines

02:58of the law.
