00:03 Vodka is set in Ireland in a place called West Cork.
00:07 It's one of the most beautiful places in the world.
00:10 We're making a podcast.
00:11 A podcast in vodka.
00:13 And will people listen to it?
00:14 Why does everybody ask that?
00:16 When we were creating vodka, one of our writers
00:18 grew up in Cork.
00:19 And one day, he's like, oh, road bowling.
00:21 And we're like, what?
00:23 I actually believe it's pronounced road boweling.
00:26 Oh, Christ.
00:27 What's happening?
00:28 Road bowling was this unheard of game
00:31 that none of us knew anything about and so specific to Cork.
00:34 If you were driving somewhere, you'd all of a sudden
00:36 be met with a group of about 50 lads throwing a big metal ball
00:40 up the road.
00:40 Have you solved the mystery yet?
00:42 The real mystery is the rules of road boweling.
00:44 They run from way back and then shoot it down the road
00:48 as far as they can go.
00:49 And it was really fun because we had the top road
00:52 bowlers in the scene.
00:55 Road bowling really kind of go more or less the same as golf.
00:58 It's the person who gets from A to B
00:59 in the least amount of shots.
01:01 If you don't make it to the pub, you've lost.
01:04 I think it's one of the really strong things about the show.
01:07 They made this fun, creative vision of Ireland.
01:09 We're off to the pub to celebrate the game.
01:11 You coming?
01:12 This isn't some holiday, Gilvers.
01:14 And then we go under that and find all the skeletons.
01:17 It's such a great contrast to the darkness and grit
01:20 of the show.
01:21 I think it's perfect for our imaginary town of Bodkin.
01:25 A nun in a pub.
01:28 Love this country.
