It was narrated from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah had a female slave with whom he had intercourse, but 'Aishah and Hafsah would not leave him alone until he said that she was forbidden for him. Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed:
"O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allah has allowed to you.' until the end of the Verse.

07:27with a certain incident,
07:29then she spread it,
07:31and Allah let him know about it.

07:35she asked him,
07:37“Who informed you of this?”
07:39He said, “I was informed by Allah,
07:42All-Knowing, All-Aware.”
07:44Hafsa started trembling with fear.

07:49Allah spied for the Prophet,
07:51and tattletale to him
07:52 his wives private talks and gossips.
07:54Angry Prophet then gathered all his resentful wives
07:59and conveyed the following chilling message
08:00from Allah to them
08:02 which had just arrived.
08:03Qur’an, Surah At-Tahrim, verse 5.
08:06If Mohammed divorced you all,
08:09Allah will give him in exchange wives
08:12better than you who are
08:14submissive and devout.
08:17That message was a death sentence
08:19 to the scared wives.

08:21A divorce meant starving to death,
08:23since nobody was allowed to marry
08:25Prophet’s wife according to an earlier verse.
08:29Qur’an, Surah At-Tahrim, verse 10 and 11.
08:33On one hand wives of Allah’s prophets Noah and Lut
08:37misbehaved with their husbands
08:39and they were put in hell fire.
08:41On the other hand,
08:43wife of the kafir Pharoah was well behaved
08:47and she was awarded paradise.
08:50All the wives started wailing.
08:53Starving to death was one thing,
08:55burning in hellfire for ever
08:56 was something else.
08:58Please ... forgive us ...

09:27But the reason why the holy Prophet decided
09:30not to visit all of his wives for a month
09:32was because he intended to spend
09:34 a full one month to sleep exclusively
09:36 with Maria alone.

10:06The Prophet did not go to his wives
10:07because of the secret which Hafsa
10:09had disclosed to ‘Aisha,
10:11 and he said that he would not go
10:13to his wives for one month,
10:14as he was angry with them,
10:16when Allah admonished him
10:17for his oath that he would not
10:18approach Maria.
10:19Allah also decided to pitch-in in the misery
10:22of Prophet’s wives by making Maria pregnant
10:24with a baby boy, named Ibrahim.
10:27This was something Prophet Muhammad
10:29desired most and which could not be delivered
10:31by any of the nine resident wives.
10:34Oh, Allah blessed me so much.
10:36Not only I got an extremely beautiful jariyah,
10:40but I also got a son from her!!

10:48But unfortunately,
10:50Ibrahim died when he was two years old.
