00:00 >> Curry, you had a flurry of baskets there in the fourth quarter,
00:03 including the left hand floater to kind of ice the game.
00:07 I think on the broadcast you said that you had a coach come up to you and
00:09 say you wish you would have got going a little bit sooner.
00:12 Just what goes into your mind when you're finally getting it going and
00:16 why are you so comfortable in those moments?
00:18 >> It's basketball, man.
00:19 I think I've been able to learn that from people that are sitting on
00:25 the sidelines see different things, so I respect their opinion.
00:29 But also as a player, as a hooper, who's seen numerous series,
00:34 who's been in a lot of different battles, who has failed at the highest level.
00:37 Reading the game is just as important as forcing yourself into things.
00:43 So for me in the first half,
00:45 I just felt like there was some opportunities off the pick and
00:47 roll I could have taken advantage of.
00:49 I didn't, but it was still a one point game.
00:53 And I think my confidence in my teammates during those stretches goes
00:58 to ultimate high because I need them and they need me.
01:02 But I also understand the gravity that I pull and
01:06 also utilizing myself as I don't really like the word decoy at all.
01:10 But being out there to be ready to make an impact when my number's called.
01:15 Got guys that score at a very high level, I score at a very high level, but
01:19 sometimes in playoff games it's not gonna be like that.
01:21 And one thing that I always like to tell people is just go watch
01:25 some of the games in the 80s and 90s and 2000s.
01:28 I don't know how the NBA game has changed in terms of perspective that people see
01:32 and want to see star players score a bunch of points and force a bunch of stuff.
01:35 But you look at some of the greatest teams that have played in one championships,
01:40 a lot of guys have been selfless and a lot of guys have been willing to
01:43 just read the game and give what the game needs.
01:46 So if my job is to play defense that night and that's what I'm geared towards and
01:50 I feel like that's what my intention is to get us a win and
01:53 that's where it's gonna be.
01:54 It's not gonna be trying to delegate my offensive prowess to force myself
01:59 into the game, it's gonna come.
02:00 And I feel like I'm one of the most unguardable people in the world,
02:03 just like the rest of my peers feel.
02:06 It's just a confidence, but in the playoffs you don't have time to wallow in
02:11 the extra thoughts of offense, offense, offense, defense wins championships.
