00:02 Hi Vogue, it's Eugene from Le Seraphim,
00:05 and today I'm gonna walk you through
00:07 my everyday skincare routine.
00:08 And I have a pretty chill day in LA,
00:10 so we're gonna do my makeup.
00:12 First, I'm going to wash my face.
00:14 But before that, I like to use these claw clips.
00:18 And then, squeeze a little on there, like that much.
00:26 I put some water on my Foreo, and I'm going in.
00:30 My mom actually bought this for me from Marshall's,
00:33 and then she was like, "Do you need this?
00:34 "I'll ship it to you."
00:35 Since we don't have Foreos in Korea.
00:38 My parents are still living in Albany.
00:42 I moved to Korea when I started training
00:46 to become a K-pop idol in 2018, 2017,
00:51 so I was like 15, 16.
00:54 This next step is toner pad.
00:57 I remember first opening up to my parents,
01:03 being like, "I wanna make music."
01:05 And they sat me down, very seriously,
01:08 like, "This is a really tough industry,
01:10 "and it might be hard to make it in this industry."
01:13 The first step to become an idol, I guess,
01:15 is to pass an audition.
01:16 There were a couple times that companies came over
01:19 from Korea to the States for global auditions,
01:22 and they would drive me on the weekends
01:25 every time there was an opportunity.
01:28 If it wasn't for that,
01:29 you know I wouldn't have been here today.
01:31 The ordinary serum.
01:33 Next I'm going in with a serumizer
01:40 to de-puff and kind of get my blood circulation going.
01:47 I like to use this very funny-looking Kalsa.
01:52 And then you just kind of circle it around.
01:56 I think I really started focusing on skincare
02:00 after I moved to Korea.
02:01 There's just a lot of access to these products.
02:05 It got really fun to make a routine.
02:09 I have this cream that I like to use.
02:13 And then the last step is this cream.
02:20 I actually like to buy makeup from the States.
02:25 The makeup in Korea and the skincare in Korea
02:28 is very different.
02:30 So it's fun to get stuff from both the East and the West
02:34 and then use both of it in my routine.
02:36 Lip balm.
02:40 So the other day I went walking around Hollywood
02:47 with Chaewon and I did this kind of look.
02:50 Sun-kissed, very minimal, high-nose look.
02:55 I'm gonna go in with this MAC primer that also has SPF.
02:58 Next I go in with this Blemish Balm.
03:05 Squeeze a little bit, like literally the tiniest bit.
03:08 Melissa Erfem performed at Coachella,
03:16 which was absolutely surreal.
03:17 Our outfits were custom made by Louis Vuitton.
03:22 Much love to LV.
03:24 We had such a fun time.
03:26 I'm gonna go in with this MAC foundation.
03:29 Very minimal.
03:30 Out of the five of us, I think I am the most
03:38 into doing my own makeup.
03:40 Most of the days when we're not doing full glam,
03:44 the other girls, they go very minimal.
03:46 Although Zaha is actually also into makeup.
03:49 She is always pulling up with these eyeshadow looks,
03:53 very minimal though.
03:54 She's always killing it.
03:56 And next I'm gonna do concealer.
03:59 The biggest difference between Korean makeup
04:07 and American makeup, I think, is in the base.
04:11 Like for Korean makeup, I think it's really typical
04:14 to go for like a really dewy finish,
04:17 really minimal kind of base.
04:19 Whereas for American makeup, it's a lot more matte
04:22 and a lot more full on.
04:23 When I was in high school,
04:25 I was like a lot more into like contouring.
04:27 After like, you know, moving to Korea
04:29 and doing a lot of Korean makeup,
04:31 I've noticed there's not as much sculpting going on.
04:35 So it's a lot more minimal.
04:41 And this is Anastasia Beverly Hills.
04:45 Everything we do is a team effort.
04:50 Like when we go to Japan, we have two Japanese members.
04:52 They help us out with like a lot of the talking
04:55 and they always like teach us Japanese phrases as well.
04:58 Yeah, when we're in the States,
04:59 I'm just like doing my part of the team effort.
05:02 Next is eyeshadow.
05:04 First I'm gonna go in with this art, Therapeachy.
05:08 It's like a cream eyeshadow.
05:10 So just go in with my finger.
05:11 And then I'm gonna go in with like a little,
05:15 it's like a new pinkish nude.
05:17 I'm probably the biggest yapper in the Seraphim.
05:23 I'm not gonna lie.
05:24 We're all very like introverted people.
05:27 Okay, Korea's also really obsessed with MBTI.
05:31 In the States, it's like horoscopes and zodiacs.
05:33 Like what's your sign?
05:34 In Korea, it's like, what's your MBTI?
05:36 It's like your personality type.
05:38 We just like to categorize ourselves.
05:40 All five of us are I's, which means we're all like,
05:43 we get energy from like alone time,
05:46 rather than going out and like meeting a lot of people.
05:48 Next is eyeliner.
05:49 And then I like to kind of like blend it out with my nail.
05:55 One of my recent musical collaborations
06:00 was with an artist called Max.
06:03 It's a song called "Stupid in Love"
06:04 and it went like viral on TikTok.
06:06 It was like something so unexpected.
06:09 It was like one of those moments.
06:10 I kind of made it, mom.
06:12 When you're a trainee,
06:15 you have to train before you become like an idol.
06:18 Every month you have an evaluation
06:20 where you get in front of like a camera.
06:22 You have to look good, so I would do my makeup.
06:25 And that's when I picked up the skill
06:27 where you use your curler.
06:28 You normally just do your upper lashes.
06:31 You flip it upside down
06:33 and then you also kind of do your lower lashes.
06:36 And kind of get it to fan out a little.
06:38 That's just how I do my eyes now.
06:42 For my lashes, I like to also kind of like go in like this
06:49 and then I go in vertically
06:52 and kind of like pinch them together.
06:56 On like the edge of my lashes,
07:00 I like to like push them down a little
07:02 and then like fan it out.
07:03 So it kind of gives the illusion of like a wing.
07:06 Next I have my blush.
07:15 Makeup looks without blush.
07:20 I don't know, I just, I just...
07:21 [speaking Korean]
07:23 I don't know if there's like a direct, accurate translation,
07:26 but it just means you feel like something's missing.
07:29 Aw, doing makeup is so therapeutic.
07:32 It like brings me back to like my high school days
07:35 and I would do so many like extracurricular things.
07:37 I would always like get up like an hour or two earlier
07:40 to go like play field hockey.
07:43 I used to be in orchestra as well.
07:44 This is something that actually
07:45 I don't think I've ever talked about.
07:46 I used to play violin.
07:47 I played violin for quite a long time.
07:49 Next is my lip liner.
07:52 Oh my God, I remember before going to Korea,
07:54 there was a time where I was like
07:56 training in Korea for a couple of years
07:59 and then I left to go back to school for like a year
08:04 and I was like, I'm done with K-pop.
08:05 I'm gonna like choose a different career path.
08:07 But then I got a call back being like,
08:09 hey, do you want to be in a group called Le Seraphine?
08:11 I was like, whoa, wait,
08:13 I actually might want to do K-pop again.
08:15 Before I left to like join Le Seraphine,
08:17 the last thing I bought in the States,
08:20 it was a lip liner from MAC.
08:22 I like to overline the corners of my lips a little bit.
08:29 I like to use my finger, like blend it in.
08:33 I'm gonna go in with a nude-ish color.
08:37 Oh, isn't this so cute?
08:38 This has my name on it.
08:39 It says Yoonjin.
08:40 Go in with like a little gloss.
08:47 Think I'm gonna want to do some more blush
08:53 'cause I am a blush girl.
08:57 A highlighter, Cheryl Tilbury.
09:00 Okay, so I dot my little mole here.
09:11 And then I like to use two different fragrances.
09:18 I really like the smell of figs.
09:23 Just put some right back.
09:25 And then just a layer of this as well.
09:29 It's like a really weird combination, figs and pistachio,
09:32 but I don't know, it brings me peace.
09:35 Very like sun-kissed, very natural.
09:37 Honestly, I think it's perfect for the day.
09:40 All right, bye, mom!
09:42 Love you!
09:43 (upbeat music)
