00:04 The DSWD is asking the government to make a permanent program of the food stamp program.

00:11 The committee has already approved the plan but because there is a lack of funds,

00:15 it will be passed to another committee in the chamber.

00:17 For now, the DSWD has already asked for additional funds from the Department of Budget and Management

00:24 to give the target of 300,000 beneficiaries starting from July.

00:29 At present, the program is only for the 3,000 poorest families in 5 places in the Philippines.

00:36 The program will be funded every year and will continue to be implemented even if the administration changes its mind.
