00:00 I've worked with many celebrities, Mick Jagger, Rachel McAdams, Sadie Sink. Today I'm gonna be styling Stacey.
00:07 Hi!
00:07 Hi Stacey!
00:08 And we're gonna do Beyonce's long bob or lob.
00:11 Beyonce's lob is so iconic, it's never going to go out of style.
00:15 I love this look on her. The blonde is going to pop and then we are gonna cut it into this cute floaty bob,
00:22 just like Beyonce.
00:24 Oh my god! Wow!
00:29 All right, let's take a look.
00:31 I love everything about my job. I love the whole process of making the client feel beautiful.
00:35 There's no such thing as too much hair, too much curl. I want the client to feel great about their hair.
00:41 So I'm gonna start with the Christoph Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub,
00:45 because you have a little bit of oil in there and I want to make sure to get it all out.
00:48 (sniffing)
00:50 Whatever this is smells...
00:52 It's so good!
00:54 This product is a salt scrub.
00:56 You want to kind of reset your scalp and just kind of give it like a nice good detox.
01:00 So now we're gonna rinse.
01:02 Beyonce's lob is so iconic because it is a bob.
01:06 It's timeless. It's been timeless since Coco Chanel came up with the bob.
01:11 You can style it different ways. You can wear it down the middle, you can part it to the side.
01:15 It's always going to be in season. It's always going to be a classic.
01:19 It's never going to go out of style.
01:21 The old school relaxers with formaldehyde in it are really harmful for your health.
01:27 We do not do this. We strictly use the amino acid treatment from Purelux.
01:31 Purelux uses amino acids to smooth the hair cuticle down so it's shinier and it appears smoother.
01:39 Alright, let's mix it up!
01:41 So give me the tea. Who have you worked with in the last couple years?
01:46 One of the biggest celebrities that I've done would be Mick Jagger.
01:51 Ooh!
01:52 Most recent would be Rachel McAdams and Sadie Sink from Stranger Things.
01:57 And Rachel McAdams I would say is my top favorite.
02:01 So I'm applying the Purelux right now.
02:03 So I'm just kind of saturating it but not too much where it's dripping.
02:06 And then just kind of massaging it into your hair so it seeps in there.
02:09 Alright, we'll set a timer for 30 minutes and set you under infrared heat.
02:15 This is the infrared light and it's going to help the product penetrate your hair a little bit more.
02:21 There is a take-home treatment as a stylist and I know my clients, they take it and they abuse it.
02:28 And when you use too much, it's not good for your hair. I would advise not to do that.
02:32 Alright, so it's been 30 minutes. I'm going to turn this off and then we're going to go to the shampoo bowl.
02:38 We're going to rinse.
02:41 So now we're going to brush your hair out and blow dry it.
02:45 And this is going to kind of seal it all in.
02:49 Especially the flat iron is going to seal the whole Purelux treatment into your hair.
02:54 I always tell my clients when they use hot tools or blow dryers at home to put it on medium heat settings.
03:01 You don't want that much hair coming out of the blow dryer.
03:04 You just want a little bit of heat and it's slow heat.
03:06 And that's what's going to give you a longer lasting result without damage.
03:10 Alright, we're almost done.
03:12 I am starting to feel my inner Sasha fierce. Come on, Beyonce!
03:17 So the color we're doing today is Beyonce's kind of classic signature golden blonde.
03:24 I'm going to go through and use kind of a combination of highlighting techniques to brighten you up as much as possible
03:31 without touching any of the ends that are already a little compromised.
03:37 Alright, so your foils are fully processed.
03:40 We'll get it all rinsed, shampooed, and then we're going to put your gloss on.
03:44 So you're not going to have any harsh lines and you're going to have a lot more of a natural grow out.
03:49 I know that you're a mom and a business owner and you need something that's more low maintenance, but still fun.
03:56 I see the Beyonce cover.
04:04 So one thing I do notice about Beyonce's bob is how floaty it looks and how it swings with her head.
04:10 So to achieve that look, what I do, my little secret, is I go from the inside, the very bottom, I cut short.
04:17 I cut shorter than anything else. And as I go up each section, a millimeter longer, a millimeter longer.
04:24 So then it gives it that nice floaty look without the flip.
04:27 You need to get your lob trimmed probably about every eight weeks.
04:30 It is a very high maintenance haircut because it has to be above your shoulder.
04:36 So once it touches, it needs to be cut.
04:39 Alright. My lips are so red right now.
04:47 Yes! Oh my god! Wow! I love it!
04:58 That's so cute!
05:01 Look at the angle!
05:02 Yeah, the angle. Just the subtle, slight, classic angle.
05:06 I need to hug you. Oh my god! It looks like a mom! Thank you!
05:11 You're welcome!
