00:46 We get a close look at the Godzilla X Kong the new Empire Godzilla re-evolved figure
00:50 I'd like to thank the folks over at Hayato's that did provide the sample
00:53 We could have a look at one notable feature that may be missing on this version of Godzilla is the familiar pink that he would
01:00 Have had in the film now. This is the re-evolved version of Godzilla
01:04 That's slated to release in June 2024 for $50.99 if you wait though till November and you can decide for yourself
01:11 There is also gonna won't be the one that has the notable pink added then onto his spikes
01:15 It's gonna be around the same price point of $50.99
01:18 We are gonna though be taking the tape measure and measuring him off and I've got him right now on his hind legs with
01:23 The tail fully extended based solely on that from the front of its snout to the back of its tail
01:28 This Godzilla still is standing about five inches in length or the actual figure itself is about 38 centimeters long
01:35 As for though its height depending on what configuration you want to have it taking it right to the top of its spike
01:40 The Godzilla is gonna be about six inches in height or it's gonna be about 15 centimeters tall
01:46 If you have already been collecting the Haya Godzilla's then you may already recognize this mold
01:50 This mold has not only been used for the king of the monsters, but it also has been used for the example
01:55 I'm bringing in right now the Godzilla versus Kong Godzilla
01:58 The only thing is also different about this and this is also using the one that has the multiple ringlets there for his collar
02:04 So he has some additional articulation there
02:05 The only thing that really is different between the two is the coloring of his body
02:09 Whereas this was kind of more of a darker gunmetal gray
02:11 The one that we're getting now here from New Empire is a slightly more lighter gray or a more stone colored gray other than that though
02:18 It's exactly the same bodies and the figure for comparisons. Obviously we're gonna be bringing Godzilla. We don't have yet a Kong from New Empire
02:25 I'm sure we are gonna be getting one shortly from Haya
02:27 Here's at least a stand-in the one we got from Godzilla versus Kong King Kong
02:30 So yeah, other than a few cosmetic changes, it is exactly the same Godzilla as before
02:36 It benefits though from like the other Godzilla recently that it does have the multiple links in its neck
02:40 So it has some additional pose ability the first time
02:43 In fact, we got this mold only had just a single color piece
02:46 But this one now has the benefit of multiple layers with some additional articulation there
02:50 Head sculpt wise and the remaining body below it is all gonna be the exact same as the earlier Godzilla
02:55 It still does have an articulated mouth so you can open and close it with some nice detailing done on the inside

03:01 I bring back in the original Godzilla so you guys can see and by seeing the original one the one that I usually go to
03:06 Is my kind of go to stand in Godzilla is the one that we got here from Godzilla versus Kong and you can see color-wise
03:13 One's a little bit more of a darker gray one's the more lighter gray again
03:17 The only thing that's really missing on this is the pink that's on the top of its scales
03:20 But we are gonna be getting that one in November
03:22 Really pick your poison as to which color you'd prefer
03:25 I still to be honest still like the darker gray a little bit better
03:28 I think it handles at least the details and it makes them stand a little bit more the later gray while still nicely being done
03:34 On Godzilla. I think it doesn't really bring the details out as much as the one we got from Godzilla versus Kong
03:40 Of course the articulation and all the bodies are gonna be exactly the same
03:43 So we're just gonna move this one out of the way the face for what it is
03:45 I mean again being the fact is only just the reuse of the same mold
03:49 It's still a nice rendition of Godzilla. Although it's very small. Of course to make his eyes out. They're nicely painted there as well
03:55 Again, we've already discussed the fact he does have the open and closed mouth top and bottom rows of teeth are nicely done there as
04:00 Well, and you can see the nice little additional purple on the inside of his mouth
04:04 We did also look at another version of Godzilla just recently
04:07 In fact that had the atomic breath this one obviously doesn't have any of those additional added accessories
04:12 But I'm sure we will be probably getting a variation of the new Empire Godzilla with a similar atomic breath
04:17 Colored in this time around instead of blue would have been you know, obviously the pink the color though on the molding on this guy
04:23 It's still really good
04:24 I mean even if they're really double dipping or this by this point triple dipping the mold
04:28 The scale for example that he has on his body is nicely done kind of giving us again more alike to an elephant hide
04:34 For example big rows of big giant spikes, of course sticking up from the tops of his body
04:38 These are fairly rubbery and plastic. Although obviously if you're putting your fingers against them, you're really gonna feel the points
04:45 Nicely sculpted though as well. The thing that's really unfortunately lacking though on this figure is some additional color
04:50 Getting of course the idea that he is the king of the monsters Godzilla's always kind of always really been a more gray color scheme
04:56 Character, but unfortunately though, there's so much gray happening here. There's no real opportunity to add anything else above that
05:02 There's slightly lighter colors on his undercarriage, but I'm not I mean like Godzilla's pretty much kept him pretty much just a singular gray
05:09 Not that it's necessarily a bad thing
05:11 But I think if you're gonna go with the darker gray the darker gray was handled
05:15 I feel better with the Godzilla versus Kong. So again, you can see the differences between the two
05:19 Articulation of course on this guy's gonna be exactly the same
05:22 Well, the thing I did notice though with my Godzilla is that the one that was provided is when I am moving things periodically
05:28 On this figure I've had a few little paint flaking off
05:30 I'm not quite sure really where that's coming off on the figure
05:32 It could be possibly from his mouth that I was opening and closing, but I have it just a few
05:36 I don't think I'm kind of exhausted. I'm sure whatever paints been flaking off
05:40 But just in case that some of its coming off
05:42 It looks like there's maybe just a little bit of dry paint probably it was around the jaw
05:46 But again like for the articulation this guy it's gonna be exactly the same as the one that we got before
05:50 Running through that one of the things though the figure has now is the additional articulation here for the neck
05:56 Basically what it is it's it's a post and it runs all the way to the front of the head that the head then attaches
06:01 Onto the ball joint, but in the middle of that there's all these
06:03 Additional linklets, so there's one right here for example, and then they're basically stacked on top of one another
06:10 There's one right here, and there's one right here
06:11 So really between all of that you get some additional leverage when it comes to what you can actually move with the figures neck
06:16 Of course the head is gonna be on a ball joint
06:18 So it does rotate back and forth it moves up it moves down
06:21 And you can also move it back and forth sway it side to side
06:24 We of course have to can't overlook the fact the figure does have a joint in his in his jaw so of course you can
06:29 Move that back and forth there as well
06:31 Again a really nice-looking head sculpt
06:32 I know fault at all like I've been really knocking out of the park when it comes to Godzilla figures
06:36 But I just feel like again like having already now what two figures the basic one and of course the one that had the atomic breath
06:42 I think we're now what three or four Godzilla's in using the same mold
06:45 I just fish wish if anything this newer release just
06:48 Jumped right away to the idea of incorporating the pink even if I wasn't really a big fan of it
06:53 The articulation also in his shoulders are exactly the same as the earlier release one
06:57 So it only really hinges out about that far
06:59 You can take as well the arms and rotate them all the way around
07:02 The figure does have a swivel here in his elbow
07:05 Not only serving as a single hinge so you can hinge that forward and back this way
07:09 But again, you can rotate the arm back and forth hands
07:11 Also as well as small as they may be getting closer look at the details on that does rotate all the way around
07:16 And then when you get to basically the main construction of his body this section here swivels back and forth
07:21 Well, obviously he already has a swiveling there in the neck
07:23 But this basically swivels back and forth only up and down by just a little bit
07:27 I mean
07:27 It's kind of really hard to get in there just with so much
07:29 Under body going on and on a mention mention a well all the spikes that he has on top of his body as for his
07:35 Legs the legs split out
07:37 About that far you can take the legs and move forward you can move them back a little bit of a mild swivel there in
07:42 The top of the thigh the figure does have a double hinge on the knee
07:45 Which I did notice on this figure
07:47 Hasn't been yet the case with the other Godzilla's that he's getting a little bit of a looseness here in his knee and I don't
07:53 Know if that has something to stem from the idea that you know
07:55 It's just the use of that mold again and again
07:57 But he's a little bit on the looseness on my knee only on mine like again
08:00 I can't say if that's across the board
08:02 He does have an ankle pivot back and forth you can move it to figure up and down this way as well
08:06 One thing I do what kind of wish that they could move forward if they're gonna still continue to use this mold is put provided
08:11 peg holes on the bottoms of their feet
08:13 Even though he doesn't come in clue with display stands
08:15 We have from other exquisite minis for example had display stands and that would have been nice to just to use those for the actual
08:21 Standing of the figure they've done something similar for example with the aliens Queen
08:24 I think that Godzilla really could use some additional something leveraging just to help balance the figure
08:29 Depending on how you want to have the figure displayed of course you can either have it on his hind legs
08:34 Which I tend to usually display my Godzillas with or you can also have them just kind of upright and just you know
08:38 Okay, bend the hind legs back just a little bit when we get to the tail again
08:43 It's gonna be all the same amount of articulation as the earlier Godzillas
08:46 So there's basically like a link here and all of these by the way are individually ball-jointed so there's ball joint here here
08:52 One at the back further moving down. There's one here as well one here
08:57 One as well here, and then the main back of the tail. There is all just basically one piece so like it well
09:04 I guess there's some additional articulation it stops right around here
09:06 And then you just have these standalone tail piece as one separate piece so between all that you can really move the tail by quite
09:13 A lot up down
09:15 Forward and back this way as well or again if you also are one that likes to display your Godzillas on their hind legs for example
09:21 The tail can also help sort of stabilize the figure
09:24 I still wish though that these figures could have come included like as I mentioned display stands because like Godzilla
09:29 There's so much tail on the back of his body that having him standing on his hind legs can be sometimes a tricky feat
09:35 Again when it comes to this figure ultimately though it is just a cosmetic change once again to the original Godzilla
09:41 We've already gotten from Godzilla King the Monsters Godzilla as well from in this case Godzilla vs
09:46 Kong so really there isn't a lot different done here other than just they decided to change the make the color of the gray just
09:51 A little bit lighter if I can get him to actually stand here
09:54 So bringing this guy back in bringing the Godzilla
09:56 Versus Kong and of course we're going to talk about Godzilla vs.
09:59 Kong even though we don't really have one yet from the newer one the new Empire
10:03 I'm sure we are going to be getting eventually a Kong perhaps with his power glove
10:06 But again as a stand-in at least for right now
10:09 We have the Godzilla X Kong or the Godzilla vs. Kong King Kong a nice way of displaying the figures
10:14 You know I would say in this case
10:16 While I'm always one for advocating how the kind of quality and sculpting that high puts always into their figures
10:22 I feel like if you have already the Godzilla vs.
10:25 Godzilla King of the Monsters the Godzilla vs.
10:28 Kong Godzilla
10:28 I don't know if I would say it's worth venturing out getting this one now again
10:32 There is going to be as well the the newer one that we're gonna be getting in November now
10:37 This one is gonna get released in June June 2024 then after that
10:41 We are gonna be getting ourselves the evolved version of Godzilla
10:45 That's gonna have again like that pink even if you're not a big fan
10:48 I wasn't a big fan honestly at the idea that they added now pink instead of his trademark blue if you want say that version
10:53 Of Godzilla and you already have these other versions of him that have been released before from Haya toys
10:57 I feel like in a case like this
10:58 I hate to say it's almost maybe even worth
11:01 Holding off getting this one in the June release and instead wait in fact till the end of the year around November
11:07 So and get the evolved version of Godzilla, which I would imagine again is probably gonna be using the exact same mold
11:12 But instead of just solely just being gray
11:14 They're gonna bring in some additional much appreciated pink instead now when I am looking at a Godzilla like this
11:20 I'm speaking on behalf of a collector that already has a couple of these Godzilla's on my shelf
11:23 So looking at this one and not deviating too far away from the original design and color scheme of Godzilla
11:29 May not as be as enticing to me
11:31 but to tell you though new time collectors of Haya products if you're into now collecting the exquisites and you don't want to start to
11:37 Go back and check on places like eBay and pay through the roof to get those earlier Godzilla's
11:41 Well, hey, then why not? This one is a good release to pick up. Yes
11:45 The colors aren't that far different from the other two Godzillas
11:48 We've gotten I guess three Godzilla's by now that we've already gotten using the same mold
11:51 But if you're a new time collector that that isn't a bad thing at all that high is now essentially
11:56 Re-releasing Godzilla the king of the monsters and pretty much the same color scheme. Now. This is the re-evolved version of Godzilla
12:03 It's slated to release in June 2024 for around $51 based at least on some of the listings
12:09 I saw online if though you already have this mold and this somewhat color scheme
12:13 You may though choose instead to wait till around November
12:16 2024 and for around that same price high is gonna be planning to release an evolved version of Godzilla
12:22 So this one's the re-evolved the one though in November is gonna be the evolved version
12:26 That's gonna have more the pink on his scales. You already have the Godzilla's wait for that one
12:30 If you're a new time collector, there's nothing wrong at all with getting this one. It's still a great-looking mold
12:34 It still has the decent art level of articulation. It's still a solid looking Godzilla big
