00:00 Okay today we're at the Tower Gardens we're changing the flag for the 80th anniversary D-Day
00:05 6th of June 2024 and we're here with the Mayor, perhaps you'd tell us a bit what you're going to
00:09 do today. Yeah good afternoon, this is the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings and there
00:17 will be an official flag raising on the 6th of June but on behalf of the Skegness Sound Council
00:25 we'll be raising the official flag of peace this afternoon. There's the flag, we've just taken the
00:32 the other one down which was, tell us about the one you've taken down and what's going to happen
00:37 to it. That was the Union Jack but I believe, I'm not sure whether we're getting a new flag or
00:44 whether we're cleaning it, I would imagine we'll probably end up with a new flag Union Jack
00:48 when this one's removed. And if anyone wants to come down and see this it's... Yes it'll be flying
00:55 high and encourage anybody to fly it with pride right up until the even on the 6th of June
01:02 the actual official raising of the flag. We're going to raise it now and show you, there you go.
01:21 So there you go, that's the flag raised if you want to see it it's in the Tower Gardens
01:42 next to the Capu D'Esta on the bandstand. Come and have a look at it, take your pictures,
01:47 send it all around the world, show them what Skegness can do. Last word Mr B?
